I've had enough. It isn't necessarily all the impending upgrades that finally broke me. I've had repeated issues with the MM, and that was frustrating too. But it was the new UI that finally killed it for me. I campaigned against it in all my test server reviews, but it did no good. I don't know. Maybe it was just me and my lousy way of playing the game. The new UI colors were so light that I had great difficulty telling friend from foe. I also got tired of trying to turn my robot, and wind up engaging the special function, causing my Griff to jump right in to oncoming enemies, or my Galahad to lower his shield during a DB or PDB barrage.
The final straw came last night when during a battle on Power Plant, I thought the robot alongside of me was a teammate. Again, I have difficulty discerning the difference in these newer, lighter UI colors, and the robot I thought was a teammate turned and fired on me, destroying my bot.
These things have happened time and time again since the introduction of the new UI, and I've had enough.
I'm going to back away for a while. Maybe I'll be able to come back some day, but right now I'm too frustrated and disgusted.
I've uninstalled the game from all of my devices, and removed all War Robots web sites from my browser and Facebook page.
I've enjoyed my time here for the most part. Lately the [female dog]ing about the whales and the BM really started getting me down after a while. That may or may not have contributed to my despair and frustration with the game.

I uninstalled this game. It has become too frustrating to play. The controls and Heads Up Display that came with a recent upgrade made it hard to distinguish friend from foe, and also made it difficult to operate the controllers and the robot's special function. When trying to turn the robot, the special function would engage, causing the robot to either jump when I didn't want to jump, or lower its shield while being fired upon. That was infuriating enough, but the final blow came when a robot that I thought was a teammate, started firing on me. I didn't know that it was an enemy because the color differences between friend and foe became harder to discern with the change to the new HUD.
Good luck. If I don't come back to this forum, maybe we'll meet again when BoT comes to Android.

This game is getting increasingly frustrating. I've come so close myself to doing exactly what you've done. Somebody inevitably reminds me how much time I've already spent in it to throw away for a few bad episodes. Except those bad episodes are becoming more commonplace, with more and more things adding to the frustration.
I was almost there on Friday; then for some reason I started one more game and lucked out with some really good teammates. So I didn't quit. I've had a pretty good stretch now this weekend until a little while ago, when somebody flipped the firetruck-me switch and landed me against all champions again, including all their maxed out dashes. And I keep thinking, if this is what I'm headed for as the price I'll pay for playing to win, I don't think I want much more of it. We'll see. I'm close to joining you, and I'm not sure if anything is going to happen to prevent that eventuality.
Anyway, good luck. Hope you either change your mind or find something else enjoyable to waste your time on.

Sad to see you go and hope you have a look down the track or keep your eyes on the forum should things change.
I think frustration is built in by design to get people to spend
I will endure for a bit more in hope that the system is fixed. However if it isn't I may follow your course of action too. P2W and P2P games are hard to stick by in the long run.

Anon O. Mous: I feel your pain on new UI topic. I was camping for its removal too, and still don't like it. Too bad so many people are leaving this game, I see that in the future it will, most probably, be another cash grab with weekly $200 donations just to be able to start a battle. I hope BoT will live up to expectation and we would be able to play there on shared iOS-Android server someday ;)

Though I hadn't fully subscribed to the P2W philosophy, I had recently spent money for a Lancelot and some other "Blue Light" specials. That was prior to my taking the pledge to no longer support mail.ru's money grab. Not only that, I have 2 weeks left on my Premium membership. I'll just have to chalk the money I spent on lessons in humility. I can't buy victory. Though I object to P2W, that wasn't what ruined the game for me. I'm out a few dollars, but what is that compared to the frustration that I've been feeling more and more since 2.9.2? The MM is broken, and Pixonic isn't going to fix it any time soon. I don't know if it's my middle aged vision, my ADD hyperfocusing, or what, but I cannot make it work with this new UI. I'll probably check in to the forum from time to time. I've been hanging out here for months. It'll be hard just to walk away. Thanks for your thoughts and good wishes. I'll think about all of you, and remember the good times that we had. While noobies like myself might not know the older players well it makes me sad when you guys leave, never having had a chance to really get to know the older community or to of played a game or two with. I seriously did not know the Leo was a Red. Literally. While I killed the Lance I turned to the Leo all like "Yeah high five!" What followed is I'm fairly certain constitutes facial violation with Magnums. Like really, I could of filed a Police Report it was so violating. |

After new UI I uninstalled it too for a few weeks, then came back, tried other games, none of them comparable to the war robots.
New UI hurts my eyes, I can't see bots when they are far, can't see what's happening in the game most of the time.can't see what weapons they have so don't know should I hide or not. I can only see trebuchets from far.
Tried to play with trebuchets recently on a fury, I missed half of the targets, I was a good sniper with old UI. ?
I play this game on 5.5" phone (1920*1080).
It took weeks to adapt new location of lock target button, sometimes can't shoot weapons it stucks.
I really miss old UI, tried to contact them many times and no replies from pixo...
Posted many comments on their facebook, there were hundreds of users on Facebook protesting new UI!
I finally understood they don't care!!! ? ? ?
Well If they don't care, I am not spending a dime anymore. I wish it never sold to this stup*d company. They ruined a perfect game in 6 months. With every update they lose players, every update ruins the game.

Take care Anon O. Mous and have fun elsewhere. That's what any game should be providing. I play on memu exclusively for several months now. Tried it on my 5.5" phone again after the UI update and I found it unplayable. I had to stab at the special ability button several time to get it! |
