What kind of game/company changes currency between updates?!
You guys have been a ton of help getting started. Thank you. But now I was looking over weapons options. What used to cost gold now costs "workshop points?"!!!
So will I need to speed up my silver purchase using my workshop points to speed up my gold? So many levels...am scratching my head... Am not sending my pocketbook down this rabbit hole.

Welcome to the forum Ember Here is a breakdown of the currencies on the game at the moment. Hope it helps: SILVER Uses: to buy entry level bots and weapons, to buy upgrades for bot and weapons, to repair your bots at the end of battle (usually just deducted from your silver rewards) Acquired: rewarded after battles. The total earned silver after battle depends on how well you performed (number of kills, damage etc.). Can also be purchased with`gold, but this is not advised until you are near top tier play and have all gold items. Silver is also a common prize in the Black market chests. GOLD Uses: to buy more special bots, many of which have special ‘abilities’. Also used to buy more powerful or effective weapons, such as the Orkan. Can be used to accelerate upgrades, but only effective once you have all the Gold equipment you want. Can also be used to purchase silver, work shop points, or influence points. Acquired: Rewarded for each level up to 30, rewarded for completing daily tasks, also for moving up a League. You can win 5 Au in a match if you score the most damage or get the most beacons (you have to win the match as well). The 2nd and 3rd highest damage on the winning side also receive 3 and 1 Au respectively. As you know, Gold can also be purchased with real money. Various gold prizes also exist in the black market. WORK SHOP POINTS Uses: to buy equipment from the Workshop - that’s all. Acquired: Earned/purchased only in the workshop. You can claim 40 free wsp each day. Additionally you can open up to 6 slots in the workshop by increasing your player level. By spending 40,000 silver on each of these slots, you can farm 85 wsp in a four hour period. Wsp can also be purchased with gold at an escalating rate with each consecutive purchase. Lastly, there are occasional daily tasks where you can win wsp. INFLUENCE POINTS Uses: to buy the Wild West bots: Jesse, Doc, or Butch Acquired: with some difficulty. Can be earned by inviting players to the game through Facebook, who then have to also connect through FB and play the game to at least level 6. Most players just buy them with Gold if they want a particular Wild West bot. COMPONENT POINTS Uses: to buy specific component equipment - dashbots, Inquisitor, tempest, ember, scourge etc. Acquired: At the moment they are only available by spending real money or winning in the Black Market. Pixonic is currently looking to allow players to purchase them with `gold and WSP in future, but this has yet to materialise. Hope that helps simplify it all. See u around

Am not sending my pocketbook down this rabbit hole. This is confusing... nothing has changed from costing Au to costing WSP. How can you speed up anything with WSP? Especially Ag and Au? I know in the FaceBook Game Room the Wild West bots went from costing Au to Influence Points like the rest of the platforms already did once this last update hit. But beyond that I am not aware of anything that changed between Au, Ag, or WSP. DarkVagabond broke it down pretty thoroughly... should clear up any misconceptions. Unless you are on the Amazon server and they did something that none of the others did...?

What level are you, Ember ? I'm thinking maybe you just got to the WSP's and thought that they came from the update. If you just got to lvl. 20 (I think it's 20) lately, that's when the WSP's get introduced. They have nothing to do with the update. If this is the case, don't worry. WSP are easy to produce and they really don't take that long. After playing for a while and buying a few things with them, they will likely end up sitting and collecting dust anyway. Also, if this is the case, you may have gotten confused and thought that the weapons that cost WSP, costed Au before. There ARE Au weapons but there are also other weapons that unlock at the same time the workshop does. Until you unlock these, you cannot see the cost of them or what currency is needed. *Edited for clarity*

DarkVagabond, Thank you very much for the comprehensive reply! It is quite helpful. In fact, many of your posts have been the ones of most use! War Robots enabler! I think "Robotrippin" was correct about Leveling up to 20 causing the confusion. I am currently level 21. Your explanation about the shift makes much more sense! My comment about Gold buying WSP was a bit of sarcasm about this companies leveraging their game more towards their profit. Clearly they hire many accomplished economists (or such ilk.) If the company puts it back into game DEV, then should be win-win...but you seasoned members surely have a much deeper understanding.
