I've been playing War Robots since the 'Walking' bit was in the title, probably 18 months now, and was a light contributor even going back to the old forum. I stopped and deleted my account when the new MM and leagues came in, as there was too much vitriol, flaming, rhetoric and plain old slagging off - including myself. And that was mild in comparison with what's going on now....
When I explained the current "civil war" to my 7 year old, she asked me what I was going to do, and after I shrugged she "ahhh, Papa you're sulking". Huurrumph.
I've rejoined because the fundamentals of the game are great, and this forum is unusually supportive and informative, given the huge gaps in Pixos approach to communication and customer interaction. It's easy to loose sight of that given the 'civil war'.
my playing parameters are :-
- location and server - UK and EU,
- level - champion up from E3 in May.
- platform - iOS single account, not shared.
- hardware - iPad 9.7, 75mb fibre broadband.
- style - just too aggressive, I'm hopeless at brawling, can't stand around sniping, and I'm maybe 1% better than average on midrange = usually mech out.
- All maps - I don't tank or quit.
- Money - probably £250 in 18 months. I buy Premium, just to boost Ag for upgrades, and I've spun quite a few Silver chests.
However, Premium is expiring in a couple of days, and I will not spend a cent on the current monetisation system.
- War Robots Civil war - oh boy.... through gritted teeth, I'm not going to tank, or disrupt other players, but I'm boycotting Pixo financially. Not that it will make much of a difference, on day one when the Kbots came out I came up against a Far East clan squad with 3 pilots and 12 Dashes between them. That's probably £3-4K in one day with 3 accounts.
- other pilots I see - given the time and location I run into [FR], [RB], [BEER], [WARR], [IMP], etc, and from the forum seanh and DarkVagabond
I've been running some light analysis on battles that I'm happy to share, on both teams levels, damage , win/loss, squad, clans, maps, etc. I was curious about MM variations in teams.
Expert 3 Hanger - in May (I just sucked with this setup, doesn't suit my play). I was stuck for 2 months.
Champion hanger in August. It just works for me, I don't get on with Tridents, struggled with the Lance, so made them much more versatile.
