Because Dashbots can’t use them and in the right hands they’re effective against them. Can’t let items they cannot monetize affect their return of investment. I predict Tulu and especially Pins will be next.

Face it. The thunder is good at around 350mtrs more or less right? What other heavy has that range? The new flamethrower. Possibly Pix want to make the new heavy more appealing so they are poking about the thunder.

It is, so are Tulus and pins. And punishers too actually. Pretty easy for a new player to go up to Diamond league on just silver guns and rockets

And they buff Trebuchets as well! What the...?
Aren't we supposed to be engaging the enemy at short range and capping beacons?
honestly this game is turning into Sniperama - I'm going to sleep, somebody wake me up when Pix decide to allow me to walk 10m to a beacon before being fried by a Gecko.

I think that it was not OP if there was no extra damage to the physical shield. Rather than lowering the power, it would have been the first decision to reduce the maximum number of injections to 4 and extend the Rate of fire interval by 0.5%.

Unpopular Opinion: It's an over used weapon and I'm personally sick and tired of running in to entire teams of thunders every match. after soo much nerfing of thunders what will be the use of carnage who is already soo weak. Another Unpopular Opinion: Zarnage >>>> Thunderage. If you look at Carnage and only see a Thunder platform you're doing it wrong.

Cos they don't need real money to buy. ?
It's not uncommon for analytics to keep an eye on say breakdowns on damage figures. If a silver weapon was eating a chunk into premium weapons then that would be something that could be adjusted to capitalise on. Or if we give Pix the benefit of the doubt and the figures show that Thunder is just OP and needs a nerf. ?

I'm not really a fan of the thunder. For me, it's such an inconsistent weapon and I don't really understand why. When others use it on me, I die in seemingly 1 or 2 shots. When I use it, it takes forever to take down a bot. I can understand to some degree because my thunders are 8 and 7 right now, but I've been in situations where they don't do any damage at all, and I'm well within optimal range, I have the crosshairs centred on a bot, fire, and no hit marker on my cross hairs, and no damage done to the bot. This happened yesterday and it was frustrating as heck. I was hammering away at a Griffin. It was a PDB, but it had half its weapons blown off. I had it down to a sliver. I was out of ammo so the thunders were firing slower. I knew I had one more hit and the Griffin was dead. I heard the thunders fire, saw them recoil, but no hit marker, no damage, no dead Griffin, one dead Carnage. Anyone else have this problem? This isn't the first time this has happened, and its the reason I didn't use my thunder Carnage for a long time. I might shelve it now.

You need to sneak closer to the target and start shooting at 200m or even better at 100m for effective damage. Circle around the target with activated Rush ability helps reducing the damage. After you finish just take cover and let the Thunders and your shield to reload. If the target sees at 400m away just hide and wait until they come closer to you and then attack with Rush and circling around. If the target has energy shield try to drain the shield first by stepping back and using cover or if it's another Carnage shoot with the left weapon and then press the big red button for rapid fire mode Or even better enter the bubble and start circling again.

Thanks @jarvis. That is what I've been doing. I engage typically from 100 - 250m. What I was describing is behaviour when I'm at 100 - 150m. Sometimes, the thunders work their magic, and sometimes they don't hit. I don't know if maybe its a lag issue, but because of this inconsistency, I'm not a fan of thunders.

My biggest problem with thunder carnage is it seems to be the bot with the most lag. Quite often I start firing and the bot stops. I can either fire or move but not both at the same time. I'm not the best carnage pilot to begin with so that bot is shelved. Don't have any thunders in my hanger at the moment. Seems every bot that can hold a thunder has a better option for that hard point except for carnage.

Well described on one of the best ways to use the Carnage. Also, Ancilots run when they suddenly realised you're up close. But oops, where you running to now? Just die already! * Bang Bang*

On a side note post update 3.2, anyone noticed a difference Thunder Damage? I didn't! Stats didn't change. It still shows 15.6k in-game. Not sure if it's just the display number..
