Ignore the weapon/bot level disparities, will be aiming to even them all out eventually...  I'm looking at mister Gepard, he's been with my hangar a very long time and I've been wanting to replace him for a long time. I need a capper and the Rhino seems like he'll be a good fit but also a Carnage would really suit my play style as well. I have given thought to a Gareth but I don't feel like he pulls his weight in the higher tiers when tougher bots die instantly anyway. I'm coming up on 13k WSP so I'll soon able able to afford either the Carnage or Rhino, so just wanting thoughts and opinions? |

Carnage is nice but real glass cannon. Allso not so fast really.
If you have to get to the cap and try to keep it for a while Rhino is better option.
Rhino can first feel bit clumsy (shields up and turning is REALLY slow, shields down and moving forward is slow) but after a while it is nice ride. Allso faster in long run then Carnage.
I would take first Rhino, then later Carnage for long (medium) range sniping or 2x shotgun damage dealing fighter bot who die fast if enemy notise you without support.
Allso I have a feeling that even in later at a game (gold tiers) Rhino is more common then Carnage and make allso more damage (and last longer).

I am also playing HS and there isn't really a need for a pure beacon runner. I run both a carnage and rhino but I would say I have been using my plasma rhino more, however the carnage does have its moments however it can go wrong. You already have a Galahad so once that is upgraded it will run beacons for you.
It depends what other weapons you have levelled up as well. I would recommend either PDB or hellfire(mag+orkan) rhino or thunder carnage or trident/Zeus and replace RDB griffin

i love carnage.. i have two carnage thunder and my average kill is always greater than 5..
on the other hand rhino is so weak now..i have dumped my level 10 rhino..
its waste..
whenever i see it on the field, i run behind it
to kill him

Both 'bots require practice and skill to be effective, and both can be very satisfying to pilot. Eventually I would recommend having one of each, however I would suggest buying the Carnage first - Thunders cost Ag.

I don't see Rhino's capping often. Maybe it's more common in higher leagues...?

Carnage is good if it is maxed out and the thunders is also maxed out it can deal a lot of damage to enemy I think group of it will take out any bots in a game and the team will win easily. But rhino is also good.

Not saying you should skip the Rhino, just don't expect it to be superior to the Carnage even after you leaen to pilot it acceptably. Anyway, both need to be at level 9 to be really playable, but Rhino needs the max speed more. |

The rhino looks good on paper until you get rocket splash and find out that there is very little you can do about it. The Carnage is better bot overall but the Rhino is a better capper.
My suggestion would be to get either another Galahad or a Gary for capping.

When I last looked, none of the champion league players use rhinos. Although they don't use many Carnages, they have at least a small presence there. Carnages also have the advantage of having fewer weapons to upgrade, meaning you can get to the higher levels more quickly, and for less silver. (And yes, I compared the upgrade cost differential of heavy weapons versus lights or mediums.)

I disagree. The rhino takes a fair amount of playtime to master plus to be effective it needs the load out you describe. Carnage comes ready to play off the lot.
