An anectode about the viability of a light robot in higher leagues. Yesterday I got a task to turn 2 red beacons in one game with a light robot. I gave it a serious try - ran 2 levelled Gareths, along with 3 heavy robots. In 7 games I managed to turn exactly 1 beacon (5 domination, 2 beacon rush). That's it. Switching the task now to something easier. It is a myth that you can sneak up with a light robot and steal beacons. If you want a beacon, you have to kill the robots guarding them, period. in response to the above post in the Analysis: Gareth thread: I had a light bot task today ("capture five beacons with a light robot") so I added a Stalker to my lineup in my master3 account. and this was the third game (first two were one-sided, Stalker wasn’t deployed). the video starts with the Stalker dropped as the third bot when we were loosing by 1:4 in beacons: hope you enjoy!  you can watch in HD here (click the "Settings" button), |

Wow - that was a close one - an exciting match. it was just not me. there were at least two more blue Stalkers by different pilots running arround and turning key beacons in time: - enemy side beacon (B) around 3:20 (in-game timer) while the main battle going on at the center, and - the center (C) around 2:20 when two blue Griffs died in one Zeus blast (where I meched out...) turning the enemy home beacon (A). you can see the camouflaged Stalker coming out of the center on the second floor, plus there was a twin Rog action (one was me). these beacon runners basically kept a sinking ship afloat, while heavier teammates confronting enemies. kudos to all random teammates in this battle, |

That was a real nail biter, I enjoyed watching. Great piloting also with the Stalker and Rog, kudos!
