Okay lets agree Lancelot is pretty strong. Made to counter a rhino. If you find your self within 300m with a Lancelot with orkans you are toasted. The only way to beat a Lancelot is with 2 rhinos or a fury that is 600m with 3 tridents. Some think the only was to counter Lancelot is with a stronger robot, but then that robot will be too strong. How about a robot who is a threat to Lancelot but not a threat to medium or even light robots. Let me explain. The downside of using a Lancelot is the speed. What if there is a bot with a heavy hard point and a light hard point. Made for close combat. The threat is not in the hardpoints but what happens when the bot gets destroyed. When this bot gets destroyed it starts a timer which will then set of a bomb. Any bots fortunate enough close to the explosion will receive massive damage. Enough to seriously injure or cripple a Lancelot. Bots who are fast enough can get away from this explosion. It is the heavy bots that are in danger. Of course the pilot will still eject from the bot. This bot will have enough hit points and speed to get close to a Lancelot. The timer will go off in like 2-3 secs. Radius of like 100m maybe a little more. I can't decide whether this bot should be a light or medium bot. Probably small. I haven't really thought of a name but if I had to say one I would say sabotage or blast

Rocket Golem. Fast enough to retreat when needed and the trident allows for extra damage from 600m before the pin and tulu come into play

Also, Salty, please give serious advice.

I think Triple Trident Fury pretty much solve all the Lancelot problem from 600m. How to counter TT Fury? Well that's a different story..

Any bot can be killed if you are using a setup that cannot strike the enemy easily.
Aphids and DB setups easily counter a Lance. The most common Lance setup is Thunder/Orkan - and that can be countered easily by a Trident Fury, an RDB Griff, Tulumbas Doc, or even a Plasma Galahad. Ive killed both DB Rhinos and Thunder/Orkan Lances on the big maps by just moving backwards at over 250m and breaking their shield before killing them.
This game seems to be moving away from knifers and I'm thinking that the Lance will not be used primarily for knifing after the heavy molot gets here. After that I see the Lance as a long/mid range support bot in the Heavy Molot/Molot T setup.

Radius of like 100m maybe a little more. 100m or MORE? No medium would be able to escape, 100m radius...wow...I'll be buying me 5 of those bots if the radius is that large, I think 50m is good if you just wanna kill heavies, that means mediums most mediums would be able to barely escape. But I wouldn't like fighting in a 1v1 and it being close just to die to a bomb afterwards

Use a FOrk. There goes the heath they thought they had, and you have a sheild that will last a decent amount of time.

Lancelots are pretty weak IMO. The only time they can get me is when I am out of ammo / rockets. Trident Fury can counter basically anything but the best way to kill Lances are DB setups

If they'd just hang another medium hardpoint on the other side of the Boa I'd be a happy or maybe even swap the medium for two light.

Pinata/Ork Griff, Aphid/Ork Griff, Tulumbas/CRV Pin Griff, and Trident Fury are the best counter setups against Lancelots.

I have killed a lot of them. Stay behind cover. Have a Gepard with Aphids loaded. Be sure to be farther than 100 meters or so away. Aphids will actually fire up and come down on top of Lance avoiding his shield.

If you don't have splash damage then you're better off not engaging, most are armed for <350 range so keeping away is ok. Aphids are a decent choice but just be careful of the Lance's charge ability. If you have the ability, attack and split charge with an ally. Rocket Griffins (both types are pretty effective).
I run a Lance and they aren't that special in my opinion...

Lances are easy to counter. They are slow and only effective as Thunder/Ork setups. Range and kinetic weaponry takes them down very effectively. My Lance often fails to even make it to the battle in open maps. Deadly with a little cover though.

With the new ancike buff, ancile/orkan lance will be, for the most part, immune to both plasma and rockets, making it much more of a threat, with the large increase in survivability.

Not sure if it was lag or something. Well it might just be me, cause Aphids kill me bots too quick without me being able to effectively fight back, maybe because half my hangar are Griffins, less Aphids means less deaths for me , and maybe even less mid rangers

Just yesterday I went face 2 face with lance in my 2nd gep(mag). I guess the guy was rather fresh with it as he was trying to rotate to keep up instead of blocking me/getting distance...anyhow, some 20-30s pounding on Lances right armpit did put it to rest. I was left with some 30-40% HP.
