I saw a few threads asking about this, and ended up giving a very detailed response about it. Someone sticky pls <3
Importing a save to a new device:
1. Make sure that the Account you want to transfer has been logged into a Google account at least once. On the off chance that you have never logged in to Google Play Games on the War Robots account you are using and want to transfer, log in to a Google account that DOES NOT have a War Robots account attatched to it, and grant War Robots the permissions it is requesting. Once logged in, your unique War Robots login information(Pilot ID) is now attached to that Google account.
2. Add the Google account to your new device. This is usually found under: Settings ->Personalization -> Accounts
3. Install War Robots: in game, go to settings and hit the log in to G-play button. Choose the account that you synched your Login information to.
4: The War Robots client will have a pop up stating that your G-Play data and local data do not match. Hit YES to synch. War Robots will reload with the most recent hangar under the Pilot ID attatched to that Google account.
Congrats! You're done!
Faq:
Your pilot ID is your unique login information on the War Robots server, it is the only information about the game that is saved to your G-play. Your War robots progress is saved on War Robots servers.
So, if you're joemcpilot@gmail.com, and a War Robots account with Pilot ID:0001 is the unique profile that has been synced to that Google account at any time, Google only knows that you, joemcpilot@gmail.com, have a unique login profile for the game War Robots under the unique ID of Pilot ID:0001.
So even if device 1 has local data/progress for Pilot ID:0001 that has occurred while joemcpilot@gmail.com is not logged in, it is saved on the War Robots server.
Also
If device 2 has local data that is under the unique login information of Pilot ID:0002 from a clean install, and joemcpilot@gmail.com logs into War Robots, War Robots checks the Google account for a War Robots profile. When the War Robots client finds out that joemcpilot@gmail.com has a unique player profile of Pilot ID:0001, it prompts through the client if the user would like to sync their profile, Pilot ID:0001 to their device. When the user selects yes, the War Robots client overwrites the Pilot ID:0002 login information that is saved to local data with the Pilot ID:0001 login information. When Pilot ID:0001 is logged on, the War Robots client downloads the up to date information from the War Robots server from the last time the game was actually played under Pilot ID:0001, so the last time that Google Play Games was logged into Pilot ID:0001 is irrelevant. If you decline syncing progress, the client will ask if you would like to synch Pilot ID:0001, which is attached to joemcpilot@gmail.com, every time you log into War Robots and G-Play simultaneously. At no point will Pilot ID:0002 overwrite Pilot ID:0001 unless a support ticket is issued to the staff of War Robots for them to manually change the Pilot ID they have listed for joemcpilot@gmail.com.
