Since blitheran is rarely here I'll post a link to this game - it's worthy of a post of its own (yup, I'm totally a fanboi )

Why he is not posting video in here? I don't think he's on this forum much - too busy wrecking red mechs I suppose.

Nice game...another proof, that dashes are totally different league.

Makes me want a Dash even more. He played them really well.
Somewhat surprisingly, he didn't use the dash so much for evasion as he did to position himself better for attacking. That's contrary to what I've seen most people do with their dashes. Not saying it's wrong (even if I wanted to, how can you argue with 2.1M?), just different.

I gotta say i would have cornershooted more than once in that battle, both in heachi, which has a good corner shoot of 2x mediums (left side) and at last, on the bulgasari, he was in front of that piece of ruin which is perfect for right-side cornershooting. There the bulgasari can shoot with all 3x meds.

It's a shame I won't ever get a chance to pilot the OP version of Haechi. That bot is seriously awesome.
I think it will get a huge nerf before it goes on general sale or tons of champion players will have entire 5 bot hangars of Haechi.
Thanks for sharing the vid. Was a nice game.

My guess is that this tactic works so well because you usually catch your targets off guard and can dispatch them quick enough so that they cannot return much fire. It adheres to the old adage, "the best defense is a good offense". I haven't watched the video yet, but I did run directly into him in his Haechi on Moon contending for our first beacon. I was quickly dispatched, though I think I acquitted myself fairly well considering the bot mismatch (I don't remember which bot I was in, but it doesn't matter against a Haechi, it was a dang mismatch). I remember he was very aggressive with it. I had little time to take any cover and he definitely saved his dashes for when he arrived at our battle.
I think the mental monologue went something like, "Oh, cool! It's blitheran. Oh, crap, is that a Haec....well, at least I got pwned by blitheran...this game is so over."

most pilots i have seen in champ league (iOS) that have one or more dash bots in hangar are averaging 800K to 1M in damage. The medium dash with Ork load out seems to be the one that wrecks the deck more than anything ive seen. Not taking anything away from Blitheran as he is an exceptional pilot but with dash bots in hangar, achieving super high damage is not nearly as challenging as with other bots in the meta. Ran up on this guy the other day on Dead City. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to see how OP his hangar was to every other champ on both sides of the game.

I also thought that at some points he seemed to play in a way he wanted to waste away the bot a bit. there were instances a more conservative approach might have been possible, like corner shooting, etc. on second thought, in that way he might survive the whole match with just one Haechi. perhaps keep rotating to a fresher bot over the duration relevant for the battle result would be more efficient in crushing the red, preventing blue teammates meching out, and winning the battle. amazing by the dmg he stacked up, even with seemingly a bit too aggressive play. and that one dash into the Ancilot was really something...

That reminds me of the one time I faced off against adriannnnnn. And, amazingly, I killed him. There he was in Dead City on the way toward one of the blue side beacons. I came in with some mech and peeked around the corner. I could almost see time slow down and see his virtual pilot's eyes widen as he knew his demise was imminent. He let loose a flurry of whatever (it's my story and I can tell it however I want) in an impotent attempt to save himself to fight another day. I astutely used the cover to my advantage and hosed him down and his mech collapsed in a heap. The facts are, though, that he was down to maybe 40% health before we started the fight. And he was likely grabbing for a refreshing beverage. In an earthquake. While getting a handy. And the doorbell and phone just rang at the same time. And he had a minor stroke. But let's not let the facts get in the way of a good story. I did kill him.

Hindsight and backseat coaching is so fun aint it? LOL.... I like it too.

Adrian killing isnt hard, especially when he's experimenting with some of his crazy setups. That being said, he is definitely an excellent pilot. And a very nice chap to boot. A kill is a kill though, and i loved how you told the story.

It was a quick skirmish that I don't remember much other than thinking, "Ooh, here's somebody.......wait -- that's Adriannnnnnn.......oh shi -- holy crap, I survived!" As for the story, thanks for the compliment. What I may lack in useful content, I try to make up for in entertainment (now that I'm trying hard to stop 「female dog」ing about the MM, et al).

The thing I find more notable and useful about the placement of the weapons is not that you can corner shoot (and you can), but that they are so flipping high, that you can stand behind multiple other bots and clearly shoot over them using them as a screen. It's pretty ridiculous actually (but we're talking about the dash bots, so what's new). I would say this is the biggest advantage of the weapon placement. I haven't placed it side-by-side to a fury (because his lucky arse hasn't won one yet), but I wouldn't be surprised if the highest weapons of the Bulg are at a similar height. I'm going to check it tonight against the Carnage weapon placement. I'm pretty sure it's higher than those thunders, though.
The K-ho (yeah, I just thought of that) has the same high weapon situation, but not as extreme.

The placement on the Bulgasari, is just perfect for sitting on an ancilots right shoulder, its like they were made for each other.

I have almost zero experience facing champs, or well, i only face them when the MM goes nuts, which happens very rarely but 1 vs 1, whenever I see they don't have rockets, i start humping corners like a pole dancer. the 2 occasions where i would have used it were against non rocket enemies. Also cornershooting helps a lot vs thunders, reducing a great percentage of the damage.
