It just seems like Pixonic is trying to make this a faster paced game.... You will see more gold players in silver and silver players in bronze. It's that way because when things are moving fast you can feel like you have some hope of winning. That all you need is an edge to overcome. But it's just a hoax to get you to spend real money. Dude... I think you may be reading more into it... if they wanted this to just be a money game it would not be where it is today. It is still very much a free to play game. And the new bots won't change that. The Camelot bots, as awesome as they are, didn't make all others useless... quickdraw bots definitely won't. Your MM predictions are ignoring 2 things. Speed has nothing to do with it, and the new MM is coming out soon. My advice: Sit back, relax, deeeeep breath, and kill some REDS! I'd say you are probably right about that. I am always the pessimist. But at the end of the day, I don't think Pixonic is a charity, they bought the game for one main reason, to make more money. I doubt they are planning on just coasting, making a little here and a little there by adding new bots and guns (although I hope that is the case). I still believe that they are going to be trying to build out ways to get the base player to spend a couple dollars at regular intervals. Because that is way more valuable than a few players who will spend hundreds. |

Frankly, I'm fine with that as long as they don't go the route of "limited time purchase!" and " buy this unique, OP, overpriced item only available for 48 hours for the low low price of $39.99."
Their pop up deals were the right idea, but their value of the items was... off. By a lot. If they would just do a resource deal, even at only a small discount, that is what would sell. A pack of Ag, Au, and bonus WSP points would sell like hotcakes.

They need to add more ways to combat physical shields I don't know if we need ways to combat physical shields, but it would be nice if it shared some characteristics with the Ancile type shield. Specifically, showing the health of the shield to make it possible to gauge whether you should just try to whittle it down or whether you should try to re-approach the enemy from a different angle, knowing that they can just turn and walking takes time. Right now shooting at somebody with a shield just about feels like no damage is being done at all. Seeing a bar depleting would make me a lot more confident. |

The changes to the MM system have thrown it or at least my hangar into chaos; where I used to have choice to play bronze, silver and gold I now find since change I can only run in gold regardless of what bot wep lvl combo I run,,,I am matched with nothing other than gold tier bots. Very pissed off as they have taken away choice and my enjoyment of the game and Pixonic do not want to discuss the issue from what I have read of their responses to my msgs of concern!

There are several threads discussing this... but, to be brief... it will take time and a LOT of matches before it evens out. It's not just YOUR hanger that is being matched up for the first time on the new setup, and therefor getting thrown around like a rag doll from top tier matches to anything else, but everyone's. For further details, click on the "Recent" button and look for threads that discuss the new MM. It may help you with perspective. |

I feel like the MM change is basically just punishing people who have been riding the train to goldfarmville for far too long. It overcompensates by placing them in matches where they get blown away. So then it overcompensates back again and places them in easy matches. This oscillates back and forth for a while until it's more reasonable. Could be prevented by using a dampening factor (ease them up into more difficult matches, if they still win too much, increase difficulty more, etc. if instead they get blasted away, ease them down a bit.)
Pure speculation on my part, though. Without knowing the exact code, I don't think anything sensible can be said about the MM other than anecdotal experiences. As it is, I don't think there's any wiki article or post that has an exact formula for what bumped one from one tier to another other than experiential things.
