I realize the clubbers would have a fit, but would limiting the number of specific bots one could have in your loadout hanger be a viable option?
No more 5 Gep hangers... No more 5 anything hangers.
Or, limit the number of specific weapons in a hanger loadout.
Not saying you can't have a light/fast hanger, or a heavy/camper hanger, but it would have to be a little more diverse.
Not saying you can't have 20 Geps at different levels if you want. You just can't use more than 2 in any given match.

This has been discussed a number of times.
Is there really anything wrong with me running 5 Pattons? Or 5 Vityaz? I've done both and it certainly didn't destroy the balance of things. Let players run the bots they like. The snowflake event gave me a ridiculous number of Boas, Golems, Pattons and Vityaz - I'm very much being encouraged to run these bots in quantity.
If you want to solve the Gepard problem (or any specific bot balance problem), then make its matchmaking weight equal to its actual effectiveness in the lower tiers of play. Bot limits would only be a band-aid solution to this real issue. With a new matchmaker system right around the corner, I suspect we will see some of this addressed, though perhaps in a way that makes players (particularly veteran ones) unhappy for other reasons.
