Thanks to a very high number of compulsive gamblers, the Black market has been a thriving source of income, which is wonderful for Pixonic but horrible for the rest of us, the peasants who refuse to shell out for macro-transactions. I say that, because the Black market is obviously only generating so much revenue because it's the only way to own a Korean bot, a.k.a. the most sought-after bot-class to ever be released. And making those bots available to the public, no matter how insane a price they are assigned, will mean a significant drop in gamblers, and therefor a drop in revenue. However, gold sales account for most of Pixonic's revenue, and with a sizable chunk of the Au-only bots being either unviable in the current meta (all Brits save the Lancelot) or simply neglected altogether (Rogatka*, Fury) I can't imagine sales have been very high lately. The Korean's release would doubtlessly provide a substantial boost to that business. But then again, I, obviously, can't see Pixonic's sales numbers and so I can't make any reasonable assertions. It's still worth a discussion, though. * Rogatkas have little more battlefield presence than a Wild Bunch bot, regardless of how marvelous people claim it to be.Not sure where you've been man, but Zeus Fury is coming back with that blast from the past like the synthesisers from the 80s in Master/Champions League. Oh, did I mention I'm running a hangar of all medium robots? Those Scourges on Fujin are only LVL 7, by the way. Everything else is LVL 10 or above.

I would suspect that when they are released for straight purchase it will not be for gold, IP, or any currency you can save up. Aside from an entirely new currency like "Gems" or some nonsense, I think they will be released for a set price of black market keys. Because the keys get reset every two weeks you won't be able to save for a dash bot, it will still force users to pay with cash or go without one. Once their profits on the dashbot gamblers start to decline to a sufficient level, I am expecting them to release the bots in another cash-only pricing scheme. And then after another couple months of milking those players, maybe they will release them for IP or gold. I'm thinking this is the most accurate prediction so far, simply because of how depressingly greedy it is. I think it's silly when people call for-profit companies/corporations "greedy" The sole reason they exist is to return profit to their shareholders. If a company isn't "greedy" then they are doing something wrong. Business =/= charity. It does suck though and while I would rather not have to gamble for them and they were available for purchase right away- I don't blame the company for seeking maximum profit, I would do the same thing. The question is: Is this pricing method egregious enough to get people to stop playing, lowering their profits in the long run? Time will tell- speak with your wallets! I was drunk and made about 13 $10 purchases in a row, but I think its a ripoff and am done spending $ on keys, at least at this drop rate

I will even throw in a prediction of 14k keys for a dash.

Rumour has it that update 3.2 will see a new way to get the Dash Bots What is the source of the rumor? Do you have a contact with Pixonic who dropped some cryptic hints, or are you simply going off of speculation?

Absolutely - when it goes to set price for keys / event tokens it will need to be a special event (Halloween / Christmas) -they won't just do it a random two weeks as the event will have a marketing build up, etc.

I'd say probably this December at the earliest.... 2late4me I would say Halloween but with very high price that costs like 30k influence points for mk1 and increasing 60k for mk2 90k for mk3 but I hope they don't do another 「smart person」 currency like gems

What is the source of the rumor? Do you have a contact with Pixonic who dropped some cryptic hints, or are you simply going off of speculation? You DO know that we get info from Pixonic right? And yes, Pixonic told us I think this is going to happen. Pixonic is walking thin ice here and they are starting to realize that. "Pay to gamble to win" is a lot worse than "pay to win", with a very high potential to frustrate all player pools: - Players not paying any money. For them, the perpetual carrot in War Robots is (was) that technically you can (could) get what others get if you play more or wait longer. Not the case with BM / Dash bots currently. Anyone who had even a doubt about that didn't see the resetting of the keys after 14 days coming. - Players paying some money like Premium and a bit more. So maybe $10 - $50 a month. They won't get Dash bots via BM consistently. Not a good group of paying customers to annoy. - Players who pay any price. Well, they are happy, finally they can spend four digit $. But there is still no guarantee they will own all the latest/greatest. So maybe even some of them are annoyed.

Before adding weapons like Tempest to the Black mark, you should put something like a witness to free the level cap Of course, in order to use that proof, real money is essential.

Even the third group won't be happy when their super-expensive bots are nerfed to make way for a new set of bots. Unless they are ready to dish out another mini-fortune for the new set.

The problem with driving away any established players is that MM and tanking are driving away the new players too. Sure the third group who will pay anything to get all the new toys might be satisfied for a minute. But when the player pool shrinks, it takes longer to find a match, and they're playing the same couple players over and over what happens? This game has so much potential and Pixonic is so unable to realize that potential fully.
