I'm looking for a new mech in my hangar. My preferred play-style is tactical knifing and capping. Lately I have been trying to focus more on damage while still grabbing a few beacons. My current hangar is DB Rhino, DB Griffin, Plasmahad, thunder carnage, and Zeus carnage. Plasmahad is generally my "flex slot" and he's the guy I'm trying to replace. A lance appeals to me because of his shield, sprint, and ability to equip an ancille. I like the rog for its speed, agility, and synergy with orkans. I understand they are apples and oranges, and I will eventually have both. What I'm trying to figure out is; which mech will be more beneficial to my hangar right now? Android Gold 1/ Diamond 3

If youre looking for dmg, id suggest lance but it does kinda suck in larger maps with its slow speed and long cool down for sprint.
Rogatka is naturaaly better for beacon cap and hit and run play (mine is equipped with tulu), but in larger maps it can also suck with all the light sabers, hydra, trebs and whatnot ?
Hm...so uh, lance?

Do you have weapons already leveled for a lance? If you don't have 2 tarans you aren't using and an ancile or 2 orkans and a thunder (not the pair on your Carnage if you want to keep using that)I would just keep saving and leveling weapons.
My hangar has 2 lance (ancilot and thunder/orkan) while my rog has collected dust since the new MM was released. When I reach 5K gold again, if the dash bots aren't available for gold by then I'll get a 3rd lance most likely.

I running 2 Rogs and 1 lance. Actually thinking about a 3rd Rog, I like em so much. Haven't considered a 2nd Lance.

Got none of the above, but due to lack of dash bots seriously considering getting both, if not 2xLance and a Rog. Got 2 anciles.

Lancelot is required, even with dash bots. Super pros play only dash bcoz they are new, and becsuse they are already maxed out and the extra durability afforded by lance does nothing because they are seal clubbing.
Also consider if they were really playing, they'd be squadding vs other squads. I doubt it's full dash then.
I'd be curious to also watch a load out over the day. I'd money they just leave their dash up when offline to show them off.
You can't see a players match history

Rog is one of (if not the most) fun bots to pilot. Add a pair of arguably the most fun and effectime weapons, the Orkan and you've got a bot that's hard to top. Not to mention half the price. If you wanted a capper that can knife, go with Rog. If it's a knifer that can cap, Lance.

If you get a Rog, don't bring it out right away. Too many gekkos and trebs early in the game. I use mine primarily for end game mopping up. Although once last night, I did finally bring it out first on Yamantau. Guess I was feeling lucky, and I did indeed get lucky. Reds weren't fielding any snipers, only DB and RDB Griffins out of the gate. I beat them all to the centre beacon and manage to turn it blue AND fire off a full load of orkans before it got toasted. The reds never recovered and we won easily.
I've added the Lancelot to my hangar and it's among the 3 that I rotate out. Do NOT think that it can directly replace the Galahad. And never, NEVER go solo with it. It's a good way for it to die without doing any significant damage. My best games with the Lancelot, either with thunder or ancile has been when I was in a crowd of blues pushing for a beacon. The reds tends to (but not always), prioritize the other blues because they see my dual shields and don't want to waste rockets, bullets or plasma on it. Plus, with my pair of level 7 tarans, I'm doing the LEAST damage. But, the problem is that by the time they notice the damage I'm inflicting, they're 2 seconds away from becoming scrap.

Threw on a pair of Orks, dumped.my Au stash to get them all up to 8's, and I already love this guy. It's fast, it jumps with a quick cooldown, and 2 Orks can unload a good bit of damage pretty quick. I only played a few games with it last night, so I'm still figuring out what I can do with it. But I can already see its gonna be a tough choice deciding my favorite bot between it and the Rhino.

The Zeus Carnage and the Plasmahad are not ideal for BR. If that's what you like to play primarily, then you could replace them both with a Rog and Lance. That's probably long term for you as having weapons for an all knifer hanger will take some additional time, but that will be better for overall damage in BR.
Otherwise, it's a hard choice. I think Golden Sabre expressed my thoughts best in his post.

Rog is a lot of fun to play but it's potential for serious damage is very limited by it's low HP, no shield, and only 2 weapons. The jump is cool but there will be someone with trebs just waiting to see you take off. Look through the legends league profiles and you'll see dozens of lance and only a handful of rogs. The reason is simple. Lance can take a ton of damage and dish out even more.

I'd personally recommend the Lance looking at your hanger. The rog is definitely viable and can be added to your rotation if you ever want to change up your hanger.
