We have just finished the first Black Market and so I thought it would be a good time to discuss this now that we have some payouts to work with. All I want from this Black Market is a Dash bot. Everything else that I want can be bought with gold so I'm focusing on getting a Dash.
My question is which chest will give the best chance of pulling one? If I had 1000 keys, would it be better to roll one gold chest or roll 10 silver chests?

I got two from a gold chest. Question now with the new one if the chances are better since they didn't want too many at once.

I swear I got 5, but I can only find 4, will send a support ticket.but I would say its about 1 bot per 100 dollars. thats been pretty consistant across the wild bots and dash bots events. so you get 13 minimumm spins + a super at least. but realistically its 2 super chests and about 16-20 spins. so I would place the chance to get a dash bot at about 5% or above slightly per gold chest spin, if you include the super chests.

also that doesnt include the scourge. as I have said in past, its been consistently been 1-2 pieces of new content per 100.

I'd base it on the following: lets assume you get an even 2 content per 100. 1k = 20 content so around 15 mechs and 5 scourge? would yield on average 5 mechs each type. when I page through the legends league, usually only one of the haechi has a scourge, meaning either they suck (and they dont really), or the yield was around 5. enough to equip 1 mech. I suspect kumi are more common than the other 2, but thats totally baseless speculation. based on what I got.

I did 10 Silver chests, I won: - 150k Ag - 50 Au - 40 Au - rest were keys 60 & below, * 1 was a 100 keys - last chest was a hydra, I detest them more than BM! All my chests were from playing, purchased keys might be luckier? SoCal

If you can't, then open silver. 1) 1 silver has slightly better odds than 10 bronze, and one gold slightly better than 10 silvers 2) chests are filtered more the higher tier they are. I.e.: less junky items. You would however want to open silvers if you wanted to get communism bots "aka wsp mechs" There is some value to getting a raijin for instance. They are quite expensive in terms of time , 1 month of waiting , and you might wish to use those points on tarans or trebs.

Instead of putting down $100 bucks and doing something close to 20 gold spins, I wonder if anybody has instead done 200 silver spins. I am inclined to think that you would average more than 1 Dash Bot if you spun the silver chest 200 times.

Forget about the silver chests.
I did 30 silver spins on my fb account when I spent my 13k, and some more after that on both my regular and my pet account. In maybe 45 chests, 2 contained something of value (a Doc and a Fujin). The rest was small amounts of keys, gold and silver. Would have been much better to opn 4 gold chests instead. I think the total payout was 600 gold and 2m silver from 30 chests, when I did bookkeeping. Never got anything useful out of Bronze chests.

Just a quick injection of a different POV...
None of the above.
The very best odds are to wait for 3.2... when they are rumored to become available. No clue how they will be available, but these horrible payout, money grabbing chests are just NOT worth it. This chest thing is a big ole $ vacuum. For every successful post about "I spent 100$ and got a ______," there are many times that amount of "I spent 200$ and only got another, unneeded, Taran/Orkan/Gekko/Galahad, etc." that don't get posted here. Congrats to those who did well... But for you potential hopefuls... just know there are nowhere near "good" odds to get anything of really good value... Unless you have very little good equipment to begin with, anyway.*
Plus, I have seen MANY screens of the Dashes being won in the Silver chests, at least as much as screens that show one won with the Gold.
My Spins (Gold and Silver) and Superchests, were laughable. Sure, it was a fun little waste of money, which I knew it would be when I took the chance but trying to calculate odds of getting them from the few posts here on the forum and the few people in a clan or Line chat, well, it's just not that exact of a process.
I've taken part in all the events... and have noticed the trend in the last 2, and now the BM, to be a steadily decreasing payout. Up until the last event and the BM, I felt the money spent was worth it in regards to what I got back, game-value wise. The last event and the BM, however, not so much. Almost all of the big winners I have come across have spent WAAAY more than these things (K-Bots) are worth. Several reported getting into the $300 or $400 range, or more.... before getting one. Saying the 100$ is likely to produce anything really worth that much money is not what I have seen.
Oh... 1000 keys is just not enough to bother with worrying about the odds of which chest to use. Just pick the one you want to try... 1 chance or 10, and don't expect anything. That way anything you get will be a good result.
The majority of my and other's spins, netted keys... usually less than half of the amount it took to spin whichever one it was that you tried.
So, to get to the point... if you like taking the risk and expect nothing, it will be worth it. If, however, you are intent on getting a Dash... well... there are much better odds just waiting for their release.
*(forgive the "Debbie Downer" tint to the post... but I want to make sure that peeps don't think that 100$ will get them one. It, most likely, won't.)
Of course, this is just my opinion... YMMV.

So as a newer player (level 24) that is still waiting to amass enough gold and wsp to buy the first items with those currencies would you recommend opening silver or gold (at 220 now and assuming I can get to 1000)? All of my current equipment has been purchased with silver so far. I have saved up 1538 gold and 5355 WSP so far.

At the end of the event they will open for you automatically if u don't have golds etc. Prizes per tier are far better than last tier

played my first gold chest ever today and won the Haechi...needless to say I won't play gold again and just spin the keys that I win from now on. Not falling into the trap. I am not a whale nor greedy. One works for me.

Thanks for this input. The reason I had asked is that while others complain that they are "ONLY" getting things like magnums, tarans, orkans, etc, from their silver chests I would be ecstatic to have any of those items! I would rather get several of those items than a single bot that I haven't even seen yet.

Then when I fail, I keep telling myself, why do I keep spinning this darn stupid thing.
