Starting a new thread for Heathen Cat to express his position on the current MM.
Ok I've just got to say this. Just because a player buys their way to full upgrades or earns them doesn't mean they have to be in any particular league. So stop with the complaining about those players if that is your only beef with them. It won't be long before some of you are running full 12/12 hangers in leagues others don't think you belong in either. Are you going to quit playing because of it? I sure won't.
Players playing the game the way they do do so only because they can. And who is ultimately responsible for that being possible? Who built it so that it is possible to deliberately tank?
Ask yourselves this. Why is the punishment server called the "Leavers Queue" and not the "Tankers Queue"?
Because Pixonic is just fine with tankers and clubbers. They just don't like it that people don't finish matches and/or skipping those maps they don't wish to play on. With the recent beta it seems they might be having a come to the gods moment with the skipping maps. It appears we may get to choose what maps we wish to play on in certain game modes. But they're not going to do anything about the tanking.
That's because their little matching algorithm is directly tied to that ridiculous "league" ranking system. It was purposely and deliberately designed so that players can tank their ranks and become clubbers among the lesser upgraded and ranked players to try and incentivise players to purchase upgrades and equipment so they can compete with the tanker/clubbers.
If you think otherwise you're sadly deluded. Pixonic talks a big game about "fair gameplay" by their players but does not actually care about it. Nearly everyone in this forum has seen the polls and read the complaints about the matchmaker. And we all know that far fewer like it than don't. The evidence isn't hard to extrapolte from what's available in these forums alone. But it's the same across multiple media as well if anyone has looked as I have. Do any of you doubt that Pixonic isn't aware of that fact? That there haven't been multitudes of players letting Pixonic know exactly how much they dislike the MM?
I proved the MM has an easy fix. One that eliminates tanking while building fair matches. Do any of you really doubt that Pixonic could not actually fix their cr*ppy MM if they really wanted to?
They don't and they won't. Pixonic likes it just the way it is, warts and all. So all these dingleberries ya'll are trying to shame...what's the point? They don't care. Pixonic certainly doesn't care. Are you really getting any satisfaction from it? Because you are just going to keep seeing it and nothing you do will change that fact.
