So I just went in a case of Sweet Water Summer Variety Pack to get a beer and found that the entire variety pack consists of one of the supposed 4 brews that were to be in there. The woman I spoke to from the company was much more apologetic than I needed. I just wanted to help them fix a potential packing error. Turns out, they're packed by hand. Looks like they have a bigger problem than a mechanical packing program. She said I'd hear back from someone within a day or two. I certainly don't need them to contact me, but I wouldn't refuse free stuff, either. At least I've enjoyed the beer I've had 4x thus far.

So where's the party big guy?

No party. I just like to have a wide variety on hand. I'll have one or two every few days and like to mix things up.
I got this on Saturday because we hosted families from my son's Cub Scout den and thought the parents might want one. We also had some friends over on Sunday.
Five days later and we have had a total of four including one I had this evening.

+1 To the session hop hash. I picked up a 15 pack and will be going back for a few more before it runs out.
P.S......I also picked up the variety pack but haven't broke into it yet

Cigar City's seasonal Oak Aged Jai Alai is still my personal fave of all time . Still have a few on my list to try though. The Alchemist Heddy Topper is one as is Pliney the Elder and Pliney the Younger

Try the 420 extra pale ale. I love the stuff. Sadly, I would have had some of the 420, but none made its way into the Variety Pack. Only the Hash.

On the beer topic, I have a gripe.
Sam Adams included their "20 Pounds of Pumpkin" in the fall variety pack. I hate pumpkin flavored stuff. I've tried it and can honestly say that it isn't the weirdest or worst pumpkin-beer I've had, but still....it's a waste of 3 spots in the case.
I'm still drinking it, though. Gotta add to my Untappd list!

All Swee?roast beef?er is awesome. I've been to the brewery here in Atlanta. If you haven't tried the Swee?roast beef?er Blue, I recommend it - especially with Guinness. It's got blueberry flavoring but it's not overpowering or too sweet like you would think.
Anyway mix Swee?roast beef?er Blue with Guinness 1/2 & 1/2 for a Black & Blue. Best beer ever.
EDIT: OMG that's funny as ?firetruck?! Can't type "sweet water" as one word because it has has the letters "T,W,A,T." In it consecutively lmao.

Never seen that type of beer around here, pity. On topic (kinda destroys the vibe of the "offtopic" section, but oh well) - I think everybody could make a mistake, it's just reaction that matters. Those guys are good at admitting their errors, so that's another plus for them - I will definitely buy a "Swee「roast beef」er" if I see one!

Not a fan of the fall variety pack by Sam Adams this year. The Octoberfesth as less bite than previous years; more like than anything. The Boston Lager is as expected.
Not a fan of the Maple Red. Tastes like the Octoberfest with maple syrup added. Really don't like the Black Lager; it's as if a lager and a porter had a baby.

Infusing pumpkin flavor into beer should be considered a crime against humanity. I hate when they put stupid gimmick flavors in beer.

Blue Moon does a good seasonal pack sometimes. Last winter I got a horchata ale in one. Omg it was delicious. And I only drank it at all thinking I was getting the gross one out of the way lol.

And Elysian makes Night Owl which is one of my faves.

I'm not a huge lager guy, but that isn't horrible. I agree about Sam Adams. It's not great. I think it was far better a few years ago. I think they're trying to do too much and suffer with lost quality.
