Hi all,
I've been lurking and reading ever since my last post a few months ago and this forum is THE resource for Walking War Robots, I've found the stuff posted here really helpful.
I'm using 5 slots and have been running any combination of the following recently:
2 x Gep (2) Magnum (6) - I had one Gepard but won another in the X-mas event so I thought might as well
2 x Schutze (4) Thunder (5)
2 x Cossack (4) Orkan (6)
1 x Rogatka (4) Tarans or Orkans (6)
2 x Boa (4) Tarans (6) Thunder (5) - too slow for me
My total weapons inventory (the useful stuff) is as follows:
6 x Magnum (6)
4 x Orkan (6)
4 x Taran (6)
3 x Trident (6)
8 x Thunder (5)
8 x Piñata (6)
1 x Zeus (event)
My (useful) bot inventory:
2 x Gepard (2)
2 x Schutze (2)
1 x Rogatka (4)
1 x Carnage (4)
1 x Galahad (2) - bought this one for the future, he's tons of fun but slow and cumbersome at (2)
1 x Griffin (6)
I'd like to know whether there's a way to put at least a single Galahad and a Carnage into Silver and what would the lowest useful levels for them be. I'm not nearly ready for Gold and was wondering what I can do in Silver instead. Also possibly useful would be a Rog, Gep and perhaps a Gareth or a second Galahad. Buying other things including more of the same with gold or WSP is also an option.
I'll be trying to keep two separate hangars - currently I'd like to make a good Silver one and then I'll go back and buy something again for Bronze, while the Silver one slowly gets upgraded for Gold. I will buy a Lancelot and Fury but not use them until later - I really don't want them slugging across the map slowly.
My play style preference is close combat glass cannons - Thunder Carnage sums it up perfectly. I have two Boas with Taran/Thunder and while they really are beasts in damage and survivability, I tend not to use them unless there's absolutely no other choice because they're so slow. Same goes for Pattons (slow) and Golems (don't like midrange that much). I really dislike slow bots and would rather have a squishier hangar with higher firepower than survivability (at least on this level, I understand in Gold it won't be much of a choice). I'm pretty good at using cover and having a general situational awareness of who's where and doing what, planning and ambushing groups of bots, intercepting beacon captures etc. so despite low health, squishy fast things with enough firepower work for me.
Any advice on what I can put into a good Silver hangar? I know it's temporary advice since the MM is changing this or next month but it would be appreciated nonetheless. If you had enough Gold and WSP and wanted speed and firepower, what would you put into a low to mid Silver hangar?
Thanks for any advice!
