So I've just updated War Robots to v3.0.1 on iOS. I must say.... THE NEW UI IS BEAUTIFUL!! Perfect! Maintaining the main crosshair design, the addition of the hit marker is sweet! And for those who mentioned on Android that your "skill" button got smaller, mine just got a little bigger actually! I'm playing on an iPhone 6. BUT BUT.... Weird thing is.... I don't see no new skins for the 4 bots!! Neither do I see a change in bot stats! Urghh!! The update is like... just a change of UI... EDIT: It's v3.0.1, my bad.

I´m playing on 10" iPad and the controls are badly placed. The button for "shield mode/siege mode" has moved up a bit and overall the buttons are larger than before, which I dislike. I have no idea what Pix is thinking. At least give us the possibility to move the buttons where we want them and don´t move essential controls to the other end of the screen. Yeah I´m a bit exaggerating on this. So overall: - Placement of GUI elements is bad. At least this is true on 10" iPad. The space between fire button and shield button is way too large now! - Flickering of crosshair when hitting enemy is annoying. C´mon Pix, you´re kidding right? I don´t want to look at this flickering when playing the game. Change the large green cross to red and remove the flickering little cross! - New UI looks kind of "washed out" and I dislike the too fat lines. It´s visually distracting from the game and it´s definitly harder to see what you´re doing now. Give old UI back. I know, I know. I have to suck it up or quit playing. Man... Edit: Uploaded two pictures with old and new UI on 10" iPad. The old UI is much clearer and elegant, while the new UI is, well. It´s fat and bulky. You're right, only some of the changes implemented in Android update have arrived on iOS. For example: no new skins, 10% more speed for Natasha and Fury (while on Android it's 10% more speed AND 10% more HP), no 10% HP increase for Golem, Vityaz and Boa, no BR. There are probably other things missing that I didn't notice...don't know why Pixonic did this.

I must be an idiot - how exactly do I try the new Beacon Rush mode? I hit the Battle button and it just goes to the normal mode.
Update: a few minutes ago the countdown timer for Beacon Rush appeared below the Battle button and now it gives me the option to play. Sounds like some delayed implementation of things or the native app loading new features Fran m the server vs via the update?

I received a 3.0.1 update. the battle UI seems different from android 3.0.0,
my Boa is now 159k ho at lvl8 (previously supposed to be 145k), so I guess hp buff came along. yet to play a BR mode,

The buttons is bigger, I press the shooting button couple time when I try to turn. But overall is pretty good.

Yeah Android Carnage shield acts a lot more like the other two now... quicker regen and a different threshold...IMO it is more useable and can now be relied upon for more than the initial salvo from a Rocket build. It actually is worth sitting back and letting it recharge now. TBH, I ended up taking Carny out for BR. Mid-Range Carny in Domination is a LOT better suited for anti RDB and Punisher/Molot builds than it was, so I have used it more in Dom than I had been, pre-update. IMO, YMMV

It's my most recently purchased bot that I've been working on mostly cause I need some variety. I saved up my gold and opened 5th spot so I'm just now getting back up near 1kAu. That made gold bots out of the question and I didn't want a fujin or raijin. The Carnie took a little while to get used to but I've been enjoying it a lot but I just hit D2 and it just got a lot harder for me. HUGE difference between D3 & D2! I'm shocked. Like 4-5 more Ancilots per match. Hopefully this update will help my Carnage be more viable again!

Just tried my first game with update 3. I play on mini tablet and here's my comment : a. New UI is not as bad as what it has been depicted but I can't say it'd be the same if I were playing on a phone. I haven't tried it. b. Though I prefer old UI where Fonts and info bars are bigger in view, much easier to read c. Beacon rush. Since I've only played 1 game, I'd say it's pretty much the same as normal mode in the sense that it pretty much depends on your kind of team mates ?

Just got in a sneaky game in work, feck, not sure what happened, we won, I think? On moon, bots everywhere, everything dieing fast , red beacons are scary, you just don't know what will pop out. Half way through I was down to my last bot, luckily reds meched out completely. Noticed the UI for the first 15 seconds, then forgot about it and focused on not being dead.
Overall I think I am going to like this.

Got update and played a few games and I think its awesome! 1) Beacon Rush is GREAT! For example, Springfield is a lot more fun. I capped two beacons and got popped. The screen popped up showing which beacons were ours and where all the reds and blues are, I saw we'd captured center beacon and it was under pressure so I dropped back in in a DB Griff. Straight back into the action! No 50 second trudge to the where the action is! 2) BR is also gonna change the options and strategies for hangars. 3) I like the UI. Yes the colours are toned down a bit but the info is all still clear and it distracts less from the actual battle. 4) I also hear what they're saying about the new UI, its not just about a new look, its about a better UI platform for further innovations - nice. 5) I like the buffs too, they're a step in the right direction if you're like me and want to be able to run a range of different bots and weapons and still contribute to a win.
All in all - its all good and BR is a real breath of fresh air, I haven't felt this keen to play and try new stuff in hangar for a long time. Well done Pix!

Oh yeah, ejecting from a perfectly good bot to spawn at a threatened beacon is absolutely a strategy that will contribute to win/loss. Sometimes though, it's better to let them take it and spawn at a beacon that gives you flanking options for the one they just took... Like on Dead City... if they want center bad, and we can take and spawn at the side beacons and spread out around the crater and just light em up as they spawn in the kill zone, I'm all about that. Meched out a few that way, now, and we won even though we were down on beacons for a bit... it really does depend on a lot of different factors on where you should spawn from and how hard you should try to take each spot. The maps are different... as well... and it can be essential to get and hold center in some, while not worth the trouble in others. I'm loving it.

Had been clearing beacons before taking them in BR and getting fried. Then started leaving wounded reds guarding a beacon to take it first then finish them off. Once people figure this out will probably see more ditching a bots early to spawn and save a beacon Finding I'm meching out SUPER fast in BR. Need to tone down my aggressiveness. Really having fun with this!

I just played 3.0 on IOS and here are my thought.
for one those cross-hairs like everyone else mentioned just annoy the life out of me. beacon mode is crazy. don't get me wrong i enjoy it but the game just seemed so short. new colors are just bugging me so bad. they should've stayed the same dark red and blue. also the kills showing up in the bottom are really distracting. the buttons as well are too apart for my taste. thats my feedback pixonic.

Ok. played twice at Yam and they were epic!! In the first match reds finally captured center beacon from us and then just started pouring out bots from there, we got slaughtered. In the second game CB changed a few times with neither team getting a solid hold on it but then a blue slipped through and capped their spawn beacon! I quickly decided to ditch my bot and spawn there even though we weren't holding center beacon. The capper went down soon after but spawned straight back into the fight and soon after a third blue spawned there. Reds were in a panic and still hadn't killed me even though I was just dribbling Orks and Pinatas. Reds couldn't get back to the CB fight when they spawned so we soon took that too...
