This is a picture of my hangar based on everything I've read my hangar should place me in low bronze right? so my question is when I was playing today why did I play on the map yamantau which is supposed to only appear from high bronze upwards today was the first time I played on this map btw

That looks more like a mid-bronze hangar to me. You could have been pulled up into a high bronze match. Aside from that, regardless of all the attempts people have made to figure it out, matchmaker sometimes does things that just don't fit with our expectations. I think anyone who's played this game long enough has had a match (or two or three or four...) where afterward they were like, WTH was that?

Also, 4/6 is High Bronze as far as I know. Heck, I was mistakenly calling it Low Silver for awhile.

You probably got tiered up for a match, the MM needed another player to fill out a match and just so happened to pull you due to a likely combination of necessity and your better than average win rate. Now, the fact that it happened to be Yamatau is what made it memorable, it happens six times as often as you'd think, it was just seeing that particular match that made you question it and remember it.
And I second the MM doing things that just make you scratch your head sometimes... like last night when my solidly gold hanger, ~9/9, pulled a match against a five person clan squad whose lowest weapon was a 12 and lowest bot level was 11. Also, their 6th was a Top tier bot. Meanwhile, our team had one 11/12 top tier guy and I was the second highest in the match. Needless to say it didn't go well. But, that is how the MM is, I see Top Tier Gold guys occasionally and about as often as I see Trash Gold.
