Ok, I've played somewhere in the range of 30-35 Beacon Rush matches and I really like it with one single exception and I was curious as to everyone else's experience...
The exception being that in every one of those matches, whoever got the "center beacon" first, won.
Any experiences out there of stealing away the middle?
One thing I think I noticed in a handful of matches (5-10) was that, after the center was taken, one of the reds (either side) would not come back after getting blowed up. I got the impression that it was, BOOM..."Well, we lost center so we're not going to win" and then they just quit.

Center is important but also depends on which map. If it's not one of the larger ones, you can go grab the perimeter ones and have them get surrounded in mid and home.

Fist cap of critical beacon wins...The team who gets it simply dumps bots and spawns on it to overwhelm any take back...The only option is to end run a side or home beacon, at which time they will dump bots and spawn on it to stop you.
Possibly the prevention of dumping a bot with half health?

I find this true on Yam, but not on the other maps.
One thing to keep in mind, ask why one team was successful grabbing middle. That is the key. Does your team have a bunch of snipers who are entirely useless on beacon rush? Did one team get there balls out and just play really aggressive while the other meandered about waiting for a higher power to grant them victory? Center beacon is a symptom, not the actual problem. If that makes any sense.

Also, if you do lose center on Yam or canyon, it seems the only way to get it back is to mech out your enemy. And the best way to do this is with very good mid-range.
Keep in mind, if the other team is all spawning in the middle and your team has at least held 2 beacons, you can have a kill fest and mech the other team out quickly. Throwing your short range bots into the scrap pile in the middle will only mech you out faster.
This just happened to me again. Controlled 3 or 4 beacons whole match, but the midrange took it's toll and we meched out. Holding center is expensive.

I pretty much came to the same conclusion as well, if the center beacon is taken by the other team. Don't give all your focus to winning the center from them, rather, I thought getting them to mech out might be a better strategy. Unfortunately, when I tried to do this I didn't have a whole support with that strategy from others. Hopefully, others will start picking it up And it'll start being expected.

Center beacon control alone, from what I've seen, can be countered. Even in Yama, as the reds keep spawning there, a good mid range squad just keeps pilling up the kills. Sure, they own that beacon for 3-4 mins, and then they mech out. Most of my matches in Yama end up that way. Its like shooting fish in a barrel. I always bring out the RDB and T off on that beacon. Other blues do the same and its a blood bath for 3 mins. Once you see 2-3 reds left, its clean up time with the ork-rog.

In my little experience so far, holding the center beacon in yamantau not rarely means meching out under rockets barrage.

That's the exact way my team won after not initially getting center beacon. We were hill spawn on powerplant, so we were forced to mech the other team out.

I will also say, that having that 5th slot helps. I dont think that everyone is a leaver, but when you are 3-4 mins into the match, and you notice that you are a mech short, and then look and see folks with 4 slot hangers, you wonder of things might have been different had they had that 5th slot.

Just played Yam. We gave up C but we slipped bots behind enemy lines and took their home beacons. We used 2 bots to keep them occupied at C and spawned 2 Lancelots at their spawn to hold it and 2 at ours to hold them and provide support for the C beacon. It wasn't easy but we won
