This is just kind of for fun. What other walking mechs from other sci-fi outlets are you aware of? What are some of your faves? By mechs I mean primarily bipedal ones occupied by a direct pilot, like in War Robots or Mech Warrior. Not necessarily gundams. A couple of examples that come to mind: REV6 Powered Armor (F.E.A.R.) "Prawn" Exosuit (District 9)

"Escaflowne" from 'The Vision of Escaflowne" is a "Guymelef". A Guymelef is a large Mechanised Battle suit used for battles. There are a lot of different guymelefs in the series, but Escaflowne is special because it is not just a mech but a part of it's pilot 'Von'. And, it can transform in to a Mechanical Dragon. (Google Guymelef to see more)

Probably the closest thing to War Robots.

For those of you whipper snappers too young to know it, Neon Genesis Evangelion deserves a mention here. Epic battles only bested by a complex and multi layered storyline.

I do like the Atlas mech from the Battletech universe as well. Here is the start sequence to Mechwarrior 5.

This is how i would expect a real War Robots movie would look like.

Atlas FTW. MW had four mech classes. I'm wondering if and when Pix will introduce assault class mechs.

Ever since snes lol I'm not sure if many noticed but when the dashes first came out. Damage done by the bulgasari contributed to daily tasks for hsavy bots. I think its been fixed since. But yeah, assault mechs would have been awesome! That'd be one way to get players to cooperate. They'd need to to take one down!

Flippin Pacific Rim. Why was this not the first thing? Too big? I was hoping someone would say pacific rim. I think they are close to the height of the actual robots in game if not taller.

Hawken Rocketeer. The heavy mechs in the game have a special ability to turn themselves into a shielded turret.

Ah the Hellbringer. As one with the Clans, I heavily relied on this mech in my battles against the Spheroid scum in our drive to take the Inner Sphere.
