Has anyone leveled up a tempest or 4 and had success with it/them? If so what build are you using with them? I have 4 of them now (2 from the event tasks, 1 from buying it with event tokens, and 1 I won at a livestream, all at level 1) and I'm just not sure if it's worth building them up right now. With the dash bots, jump/stealth griff, and scourge on the horizon, plus never really playing them, just don't know if I want to give them a shot now or wait...

I have three Tempests, two at level 9 with level 9 Molots on a Natasha. They've really grown on me.
They are good at supressing anciles and forcing bots into cover. If you catch people out in the open, you'll shred them.
I dont regret leveling them up. I dont feel like leveling the third for my Fury for such a minor damage increase, especially since Natasha has the same stats as Fury.
With the armor piercing buff, I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade them

I have a tempest at level 10 along with 3 punishers on a leo, and I am liking it. On bigger maps I can crank up the tempest while I am getting the punishers into range.

I like mine as well... several builds tried so far. Tempest + Molots on Lance, Leo, and Natty is good for MR to Extended MR. Tempest + Puns is best utilized on the Lance, IMO, since you have some protection at the closer range needed to use them as well as a Rush to get to cover if you start to get trounced by RDBs. Carnage Tempest I have played the least but the games I did use it was fun... even did some sub 300m brawling and came out on top a couple of times. Tempest + Gekko builds are Leo and Natty, and of the two I like them both for different reasons... Leo gives more Gekko usage and is basically using the Tempest as a secondary weapon while the Natty is the opposite. I think I like the Leo better, but I haven't played a Natty since the HP + Speed buff in 3.0 yet, so I reserve judgement. For 「dookie」s and giggles, I tried it on a Golem with Molots and was loving it on SF, Canyon, and Yam... Just have to use cover more, but the layout of that bot allowed me to make good use of those objects that will hide the torso but allow the weapons to sit to either side of it. As long as they don't get the angle on you to get shots around it, or send rockets at you, it is a perfect spot to cause hate and discontent... especially on Canyon on those outer bridges. Straight shot into the center while protected from most return fire. But again, just for fun Anyway, I like them. I don't know that I will use them on BR mode... but for Domination... they are essential to my hangar now.

* Tempest Fury * Tempest Butch * Tempest Raijin * Tempest Molot Natasha * Tempest Molot Leo * Tempest Carnage * Tempest Molot Vityaz * Tempest Molot (MK2) Golem * Tempest Boa will work but it's not recommended.

I have two at 9 that I ran last night on a level 10 carnage. It wasn't quite what I was expecting. The damage is decent, but they run dry pretty quickly. Just when you need another few seconds of fire it seems. I was disappointed at their performance against anciles. They were fun, but not punisher fun.
I am happy to have them leveled, but switched back to an all brawler hanger after a few games.

I don't think it works with Gecko's on a Leo, its sprey is too much at anything over 500 / 600m, I prefer a Zeus.
I am planning a Merlot, Tempest Lance when I get them leveled.

I am happy to have them leveled, but switched back to an all brawler hanger after a few games. This sort of highlights two things... one, they are absolutely support weapons first. NOT meant to be 1v1 killers. Two, they really are level dependent. A level 9 is minimum effective. They really start to shine above that. No they are not Punisher level of anti Ancile... but they ARE absolutely capable of tearing them down. Ancile level vs Tempest level matters a lot... and especially since the latest Ancile buffs on Carnage and Fujin. Due to point #1, I prefer them in conjunction with Molots on Leo or Lance or Natty if I am trying to utilize their range advantage. They aren't great by themselves for that, but grouped with other weapons they can just rip stuff up. Although, once maxed, as adriannnnnn shows, they do pretty good on their own...

In a word yes, they are worth levelling.
However there are a few buts. I have 3 all level 9 (iOS Expert III). Tried two on a Carnage and 3 on a Fury. I never really used molots so had to force myself to give the time to figure out the game play. Mobility is good on the carnage, but 2 isn’t really enough. With 2 you can take HP, 3 you can usually dead things in a clip. Plus 3 are easier to cycle. They are really good at suppression up to 800m and can tear both anciles and bots apart once you get in or around 600m and have the time to empty a full clip on them. They are more effective the closer you get. At 300/400 they do really tear stuff apart. But the issue is they require sustained fire and the clip isn’t that big, with a 10 sec cooldown. So you really don’t want to be too close to whatever you are shooting at, neither the carnage or the fury are durable enough for the toe to toe thing. 3.0 might help that. So definitely suppression, not 1 on 1. Taking anciles out all over the map for you fellow blues to finish off is one of its real strengths.
On big maps its great, small maps you have to be real carful. I have had some great games, popping anciles all over the places, shredding anything that came near centre beacon in Yam and Canyon, sending snipers running for cover. But by the same measure been taken out by Garys who took half a clip on his shied and closed on me during reload, RDB’s I engaged at about 600m, but the fecker just jumped to close the distance and nailed me. The main problem is you attract a lot of attention, you make a lot of noise and are sending a continuous stream of bullets across the map. Everyone on the map knows where you are, while that works well for suppression, smart reds will target you. Hydra’s, feckin Hydras. And gekkos, they are a problem, they can sit outside you range and just track you. Trebs not so much, most of their builds are big slow and squishy so they are more afraid of you and do tend to run for cover, with is one of the main pluses.
Sorry for the long post. In short, good but situational, more of a support build. If you have them certainly worth levelling. Someone somewhere said 4 on a butch (if you have one) worked real well (might have said they think it should work real well, can’t remember), if I ever get a 4th I might give it a go.

I have 3 at l9. They are collecting dust. Not enough damage. Suppression of reds and ancile shredding is not enough. One ineffective sniper means more reds against blues grabbing beacons. From 600-800 it creates insignificant damage, less than 600 RDB all the way. Unloading takes too long and the bot is exposed.not much value on a fury on small maps. If not on a fury the damage potential is not optimised.

Thanks all for the infos! Some conflicting thoughts but enough positives to make me want to start upgrading them. I'm thinking of putting them on my Butch to have close to constant fire. I don't have a Fury, but I do have enough gold for it (though I wanted to save for the dash bots), so maybe when they all get higher I'll buy one and switch to that.

Didn't manage to land my hands on one yet, but I've seen quite a few Tempest Furys and Raijins, pretty effective as hell with the current molots already flying across the air!

I have so many weapons on stock level as well, included 3 Tempest. Currently trying upgrade my Orkan Rogatka to 9/11. Would like to know is it worth to upgrade Tempest or Zeus. If yes should I put them on Nats or Fury? (Have 23kAu for a Fury)

I love my 10/11 lance tempest. My favorite all around mid to long range bot in the game... got 725k, 800k, and 825k with just the lance tempest only this week...
