What was changed exactly? Rhino base speed increased to 30 kph. Assault mode speed increased to 60 kph. This allows the Rhino to keep pace, in a straight line, with a Rog! |

What was changed exactly? Rhino charges faster in Assault Mode now. Also turns more quickly with said mode on or off if I'm not mistaken. (Now regrets selling Rhino a month ago) |

The Rhino should be faster AND more manoeuvrable now. Did you notice a better turning speedm and/or a faster activation of Assault mode? Thanks!

What was changed exactly? The speed boost is phenomenal. I've been deploying it as my first bot. It snags all the local beacons, outpacing stalkers and other cappers, and often takes the center as well. In Yamantau you get to scream straight to the middle and ladle out hot steaming bowls of missile flavoured doom. The extra speed even when out of rush mode means you can duck back into cover before the retaliatory strike lands. Springfield let's you swipe the beacons and get deep into enemy territory. Having a Rhino in their midst throws most teams into disarray and they devote so much firepower to taking you down that the rest of your team has plenty of time to turn all the other beacons and then fence them in for a spawn killzone. Dead, Canyon, Shenzhen, Power, and Moon. Rather than the usual charge for the center to take root and defend, you can really burn around the flanks and then pour some rocketty hate onto the snipers/artillery lurking at the back (it's like having a 'roided up berserker Stalker). Dont run a Rhino
speed buff is good for him and meta
but rhino turning faster i dont like at all
with lighs and meds it always was like:
can i get close enough befor he kill me ?

The Rhino buff is sweet. I forgot how fun it was to play the Rhino. My only issue is that I've not played it in a long time and I'm playing it like I'd play a fast Ancilot. So basically, it's three beacons and death versus no beacons, a kill or two, and death...

This Rhino buff is just what I was waiting for. Griffs are going get scarce after the Scourge weapon/Descend bot get here, but I think the Rhino will make the cut now. The best part is that all the weapons I need to get my Rhinos back after 3.0 will just come off the Griffins.
Every senior pilot must have 2-3 fully leveled Rhinos, so I'm thinking it'll be Rhinofest Time again!

Raijin and fujin also get speed buff, fujin looks like light robots when speed is maxed it's 44km/h

Yes, pre update was 25 and significantly slower turret speed. The speed buff greatly increased it's usability, it's on par with other meta bots now. |

Having played 10 matches, I can say rhino is the funnest thing from the new update. It may not be the most effective, but it is very fun to run. The balance feels perfect. It's still dies to death buttons, and jumping Rogs, and RDBs.... And even Thunder Orkin Lance up close.
But boy does it move fast. Zeus anything. Trebs anything. Gekko anything. It comes for you, with death in it's backpack.
And I have been running it with punishers and orkins, and ancilots, with this build, the Bell Tolls for thee....

I just dug my Rhino out of storage. Put Hellfire setup on it. Dropped it first at Canyon. Run around the edge of the map, laughing all the way to red rear.
Oh yeah.

Damn........ I first saw a Rhino charge at me on DC.... WoW!! Impressive... The center section, I came on 1st inlet on the right side, Rhino was on left side. I look over to the right as I came up - toward red beacon spawn. I looked back & the Rhino was almost on me. Luckily he was catching fire as he came across I hit rush on my Lancelot and came around his side & tagged my first Rhino! That is some serious speed in the Rhino charge! After that battle I went to get my L9 Rhino & strapped on 11.5 Stuka load out. 1st map was Yamatau, went all the way to center beacon leaving everything in my wake catching Trebuchet, Trident, & Aphid Fire. Lasted through the beacon cap and dropped my shield & almost bagged a limping Griff before I went up in ball of fire from the reds concentrated barrage of weapons fire! The games a changing!! Gotta check out the Ancile buff on the Carnage, if its now 200% faster recharge?  I dont know what to run in my hangar? That is a Momentus event to be sure! |

I'm so used to playing the Ancilot, I've not adjusted my play style for the Rhino so I'm playing the Rhino like it's an Ancilot. As the Rhino is fast, I used the fast Ancilot verbiage. |
