Hey there,
first of all: I´m a 3000ish player with only 4 bots, was not patient enough for that 5000AU 5th slot. Still in million damage club. Bots none fancy, no lancelots or other expensive stuff. Playing mostly small/medium bots and using cover/tactics to win a lot of matches with surprise and burst damage. If one wants to make use of that, the game has to be lag-free. And boy, War Robots is a lag fest.
Within the country where I live it´s not uncommon to have less than 10ms ping to a local server. Ping to google is 9ms. To the US, I got 90ms, to UK I got 30ms and to Russia 60ms, so connection is pretty good.
Now I have the situation that sometimes none of my Orkan rockets will find the way into their target, even if I "preaim" the rockets if the enemy is moving. Visually it´s looking like the rockets hit the target perfectly but I won´t do any damage. If working as expected small targets usually melt like ice in the summer sun and bots like Cossack are gone in the fraction of a second.
Is anyone else experiencing rocket behaviour like this? It´s really annoying and I want a way around this problem. I know aiming ahead from tons of other games and I know how it works.
Link is 100mbit down/40 up, ping is low and paket loss is usually at 0% so I don´t think my connection is causing the problem. Is there anything at all I can do? It´s so annoying if you unload 2 Orkans at the enemy, look at the rockets flying a nice curve directly into the target and yielding almost zero damage. My guess that this odd behaviour occurs at about every 20th 1:1 battle. No idea what´s happening.
