How the hell does War Robots determine who wins a battle? We had four beacons and the opposition had only one robot left, and we lost because they had the "strategic advantage"! Stupid game cost me 10 gold!
This happens quite often. Is the victor completely random? It doesn't make sense.

It's happened to us all. What counts is how long your team has control over the beacons and not how many you turn BLUE in the end--unless you destroy all REDs before match is over.
One game it was down to me and another guy. I go to their spawn, kill him (that was his last bot), they still won because the game ended 5 seconds too soon. That hurt.

For every beacon you turn blue, the red dominance bar gets shorter. In the game you mentioned, the red team held more beacon (as red) than you guys did and at the end of 10 minutes, the team with the larger dominance bar wins. Ive had many matches where we were behind the entire match and we only had a sliver of blue beacon bar left ---- and then we flipped all beacons to blue and won as their red dominance bar went to zero fast. Thats because if zero beacons are red, them nothing will come off you blue bar; meaning you can stop the blue bar drain by flipping all beacons blue. Also, the more blue beacons you have, the faster the red beacon bar drains. If you take 5 beacons really fast, you can end a game in as little as 3 minutes.

Thanks. It's a pity that in gold farming, newbies don't bother capturing beacons.

The new matchmaking system should put an end to gold farming, fortunately.

Adding to this if your team has 4 beacons I think it's impossible to lose (besides botting out). If your beacon bar gets to the tiniest sliver and you get control of 4 beacons you can win still. If your team suddenly lost control of the game and even if you had 10x the dominance, Red team will win with 4.

I've had a gamebreaking clinch win with 4, but it lasted 2 minutes at least! A good centimeter and half of red went down on a millimeter of blue and we won holding 4 forever
basically im saying on a comeback dont worry at all with 4

Yep, lost a match the other day where, get this, the other team had meched out and we had just taken the 5th beacon.
I got the last kill and took the last beacon, it was a great comeback story, I was a hero! No.
Got the last kill with <15 seconds left. Time ran out. We literally had all the beacons, but it was a big comeback and their beacon bar was still slightly larger than ours when time ran out.
Sucks, but that's the breaks.

If it down to the last couple of players and your best chance of winning is to mech them out.... Done that once or twice. Ran around turning beacons white while making the last kills. You know it's close when if you'd taken the time to completely capture the reds' second to last beacon, you would have gotten to their *last* beacon too late to prevent a loss.

Wait, how have you been "farming" if you didn't even know one of the win conditions?

I ran over, turned their last beacon white but we bled out.
