It really, really pisses me off when I'm taken out before I even see another bot. These bloody missiles the turn around impossible fkn corners that disable then kill are op. Your not really playing, there is no skill in letting a computer algorithm kill an opponent for you. Go play Angry birds or worms or some other game where you just lob bombs. Bull 「dookie」.
Sorry, rant over.

I don't even wait to see if I'm targeted. When I hear the sound of Hydras - I duck and hide out of reflex lol

Ever hear of ancile stripping by thunders or punishers? It gets depleted really quick and in the thick of the battle you think it is a couple of missiles but suddenly you notice that the ancile is not regenerating at all. Then it is too late

Then it is too late Punishers are still rare on the field and the main point of the Ancile is to block fire. Sure there will be a couple of Thunder Lancelots or Thunder Carnages on the field, but usually Hydras will be the one hitting you first.

Problem is that with the upcoming patch the possibility of armour damage by bullet weapons increasing, has peaked peoples interest. Now everyone and their grandma have taken their punishers to 10 and want to try them out. Do not get me wrong, I do not blame them. I will just have to find a replacement for my Lancelots that is all.

What's not fair? Hydras and Spirals are free. Get a few if you want.
Missiles don't deliver even 2 salvo kill shots and Hydras take 22 seconds to cycle I believe---so how are they OP?
You must really have a beef with Orkans then, as 2 of them kill over half the bots in the game outright in 1 shot.

One spydra always feels like too many. They are extremely effective at the moment and there isnt really an answer because of the ability to hide behind walls.
I don't use them myself as I find them boring (I prefer CQC) but the only decent solution is when the blues coordinate efforts to destroy the missile silo - this doesn't happen enough. Normally the missiles just cause confusion in my blue team (iOS D2).
It's a shame because War Robots is not so much of a win condition based around skill and tactics but more of a game based on "who had the most hydras?" ...

Oh man... Another victim of Hydras... HAIL HYDRA!! Anyhoos rhyno there are ways to take cover from those annoying 「bum-bum」 missiles, you just gotta continue exploring the field, take note of the timing as well. If you ain't got ancile, you really need to scoot your way to them. They are just lazy af sitting on their 「multiple dookie delivery chute」 and launching those fireworks! I'd always find my way to their face and spit plasma like i'm giving them foreplay HAHAHA!

That's the key thing ... you chase down a Spydra Griff it really cannot defend itself from a face smashing brawler ...
if you hear the whoosh of its missiles you can often see the source... also check the log to the right side for a Hydra kill. Sneak up on him & kill him ... The missiles are really not that strong even fairly well leveled :L10 Hydra 2020 per rocket x 6 12 second cycle... A L10 Zeus 12k3 every 5 seconds
I run a spydra often/occasionally - it's in my "rotation slot #5" ... sometimes a Gary (orkan Aphid) ...sometimes a Thunder carnage I rarely start with the Spydra - it is my finisher if it is in my hangar. Late in the game lots of bot running around with damage. Pick off those Low HP bots ... smash that sniper camper that has been irritating the crap out of your team all match (and take his beacon) ...lever out a bot holding a beacon ... Yamantau -shake their world in centre - give teammates an extra advantage as the advance up the ramp
It has a great range & does take some finesse to get the best out of it - it is not just a BRB mashing bot

I feel like it's most annoying on moon map, while there is some cover there are times that you're just out in the open and nothing you can do about it especially when you spawn, just eating missles until you can maybe make it to the center wall

All efforts are immediately directed at taking out a hydra bot when I see one I recently got so mad that I dedicated my last bot (Gareth) to hunt down the Hydjin that killed my Aphpard. It was very satisfying when I finally cornered it, it fired one last salvo that I took on my shield, then I ran into it's ancile and wasted it. And then 2 seconds later he respawned in a PDB Griffin and toasted my butt, but it was worth it!

I just started using a hydra Fujin. It's actually more fun than just sitting on my fat 「bum-bum」 lobbing fireworks. The challenge is picking out unseen targets from a distance -- trying to see which ones are approaching beacons or directly engaged with teammates. But it's not leveled up nearly enough yet, so it can get wasted pretty easily by the plasma that seemingly EVERYONE has whenever I've got the Fujin out. I just need to find the best hiding places on every map. I know they're there, because I've been steadily smoked by the same bot in games where I just can't get to it. But because they are extremely susceptible to energy weapons, you do have to stay on the move to keep out of their line of fire, especially when half the reds are running a gekko light show. Don't worry folks, I'm not the one obliterating you with one salvo. Yet.
