Oh Golem! My Golem!

I can already guess the tier the OP is in...

Considering that's as far as I'd like to advance, I really don't care. It's nice to see something that isn't a cookie-cutter build succeed outside of Diamond.

Honestly I can see that. I think it really is a solid bot that will serve a skilled player well if they are looking for a little extra off meta challenge. I am working my way towards a complete hanger of them too. 

Honestly the only thing I dont like about the Rogatka is the dual medium hard points, I never want to get super up close with them. Maybe that will change with molots being better now. I really just wish the robot was a little more imaginative. Perhaps if they put a light hard point on each side next to the mediums it would be more interesting............. naw that sounds like a terrible bot setup.

Brilliant! Do tell us what are your exact tactics for piloting this golem build? do you pick of the wounded with the Zenit and RDB the rest?

I recently realized that i am not playing this properly . It is a medium Natasha and has Natasha armour but i am using it as knife fighter . I stuck on Tempest , Hydra and Gekko and now this Bot kicks butt .

Level 10. I eat DBs for breakfast. Perhaps some kind soul will work out the numbers. But really, I look forward to a wayward DB Griffin and charge forward in full.

Just yesterday I and a red pilot got to briefly relive the old days when my thunder shutze ran into his mag gep at D on Shenzhen. It's too bad a blue Griffin spoiled the reunion because we had quite the dogfight going on. Sigh.... (iOS Gold2) 

I have played with all the bots, and after extensive testing  I have come to a conclusion. Rhinos are my favorite bot and thus the best. Let me tell you all the reasons why.

-1: It can use two weapon types twice:
Nothing better than the Deuce Deuce for quick DB style paths of destruction.

-2: It has a shield:
Because, come at me bro.

-3: It's fast AND slow! :
You have to constantly be spamming that special ability to get where you want to go.

-4: Its super cheap to upgrade:
It can be upgraded to max level in 19 days 23 hrs 51 minutes and 40 seconds. warrobots.wikia.com/wiki/Rhino

-5: It can corner shoot, from both sides!:
Half the Deuce's and you can dance those weapons in and out of the corners.

-6: It's got a solid amount of HP:
Bring it on!

-7: It can look cool:
Just go ahead and get one of those fancy new paint jobs.

-8: Griffons are scary, Rhinos are too:
Charge around their front lines and wreck havoc on those plasma bots!

-9: Rhinos can charge:
But there's no turning back because Rhinos FTW I'm goin' in!

-10: You can bring home your first shiny new Rhino with 15k WSP:
Because waiting is a good thing.

-11: It doesn't cost Ag:
More money for upgrades! Woohoo!

-12: Rhinos don't jump:
They keep a firm footing and plow through the ?poo-poo?

I have played with all the bots, and after extensive testing (within gold tier only) I have come to a conclusion. Golems are my favorite bot and thus the best. Let me tell you all the reasons why.



-1: It can use all weapon types:

No other bot can does this. When I use a hanger of golems I know that I will have full access to all my weapons, and not just some of my weapons like when I have a hanger of all Rogatkas, Galahads, Gareths, Leos, or Destriers. This also means you can always play with any new weapons or weapons improved in the latest patch.



-2: It does not have a shield:

When I play shield bots I am to tempted to trust in my shield and thus get sloppy. Not so in a Golem. I never forget how squishy I am in one and thus play smarter, which in turn helps me and my team win more.



-3: Its not fast, but its not slow:

When piloting a golem I am not tempted to charge off on my own ahead of my teammates because I am not fast enough too. On the other hand I am not so slow that I cannot get to where I need to be on the battle field. Golems go the perfect speed and thus are always in the right spot at the right time.



-4: Its super cheap to upgrade:

Golems are the cheapest non-light robot to upgrade, thus making it the fastest non-light bot to upgrade. This is a win win situation that makes it the best bot to upgrade.



-5: It can corner shoot, from both sides!:

The weapons on the golem are beautifully laid out for corner shooting (which you should do since they have no shields). Corner shoot on the right and you can mix light and heavy weapons, which is superior to corner shooting with a vityaz. Corner shoot on the left and you can safely use the medium weapon which we all know are the best weapons, just ask the cossack, rogatka, doc, and fujin pilots.



-6: It doesnt have a huge hit box:

The golem is smaller than most heavy bots, and being smaller than heavy bots is good. Bullet weapons are popular now and will be even more so when they get their physical shield penetration boost. Golems dont have to worry about that boost and bullet weapon spread is more likely to miss the golem, then it would a large heavy bot.



-7: The paint schemes available to it are a bargain:

The golem has too cool, colorful paint schemes available to it and they both only cost 500 Au, compared to all the bots whose cool paint schemes are 1500-2500 Au and you can see that the golem is best at paint schemes too.



-8: Griffons are scary, Golems are not:

People are afraid of RDB,PDB, and DB Griffons, no one is scared of Golems. This means it is super easy to kill a bot that is paying attention to your teammate in a Griffon.



-9: Golems can't Jump:

Golems can't jump, so you can't accidentally jump into a pile of reds and die, or get stuck on a piece of terrain and die, or jump in the air and get shot and die, or jump too far and miss the beacon you where aiming for and land in front of a DB Griffon who also jumped to that beacon and die.



-10: Golems are available early in your career:

Because you have access to golems at level 5 you have plenty of team to get good with it, unlike other bots that you dont have time to get good with. Thus you will be more good in a golem then any of the fancy bots available later.



-11: It only costs 500K Ag:

When telling your friends about how fun War Robots is you can tell them that the best bot in the game can be bought with just a small amount of Ag and that it takes almost no farming to earn the amount you need, just a win a few matches and you too can have a hanger full of golems.



-12: Golems cannot rush:

Rush is a stupid ability that is only in the game because pixonic didnt know how fast they could make robots with built in shields, so they erred on the side of caution and made them slow as dirt with only the rush ability added to prevent pilots of those bots from going mad.



So know that we know why the golem is the best bot lets share our favorite Golem builds! Here are some of mine:



-Molot, Molot mk2, and tempest: You will own the mid range and be able to provide valuable support to bots assaulting enemy held beacons.



-Punisher, Punisher mk2, Zeus: Take that fujins/carnages. Not only am I shredding your shield but I am zapping your health at the same time!



-Pinata ,Orkan, and Thunder: Did someone say death button?



-Pin, Tulumbas, and Trident: What is this crazy RDB variant? No one expects RDB with a trident!



-Magnum, Taran, and Thunder: Its a PDB but with a Thunder! Yet another brutal build!



-Gekko, Punisher mk2/Taran/Orkan and Trebuchet: Whats that you are using your gekko to spot for your Trebuchet? Wait you can defend your rear beacons with the medium weapon?! Thats Crazy!!!!



-Punisher, Punisher mk2, and Tempest: Who knew the golem could be so fashionable and wear the latest craze in weapons? Not I that's for sure.



-Ecu, Ecu, and Ancile: What are you doing?!?! This is a terrible build.



Ecu, Ecu, and Tempest: Both the left and the right side are protected while you corner shoot your tempest? Are you sure you don't want to be in a schutz or boa instead? No you don't, because the golem is the best bot? Ok give it a shot but don't say I didn't warn you.
