Why is there so many fools and just down right dumb players on War Robots?? I swear, 95% of games I'm matched with the earths stupidest people! I know a small percentage would be kids that don't know the full concept and a few noobs thrown in there too but I just don't get how there could be this many idiots in the world that can't grasp the concept of this game! I've mailed PIXONIC desperately pleading with them to incorperate a proper tutorial for new players. These YouTube links aren't good enough for me. Which is quite outrageous actually that PIXONIC have basically left it up to gamers to upload which shows that PIXONIC are just too lazy so they just outsource the drastically needed game tactics. My point is that so many players don't even know what a damn beacon even is or how and why they need to be captured quickly and defended successfully! Some idiots I've seen stand like 5 metres from a red beacon, all alone, no opposing players within a golden mile of them and they just stand there and shot and not even try to get the beacon! I mean 「whiskey tango foxtrot」 PEOPLE?? All the while I'm trying to get to that teammate and get that beacon with one of too many slow as hell robots! I'm shooting at them then I shoot toward the beacon (COZ WE GOT NO IN-GAME CHAT!) And by the time I get said slow as hell robot to the beacon, THE GAME IS WON OR OVER!! GREAT JOB PIXONIC!! Do the boffins at PIXONIC even care about these issues. (many other issues not listed here that I have emailed them about. eg. The unfair strength of the new buffed Gekkos and Trebuchets, range advantage should be balanced by having those weapons weaker rather than stronger, plus the necessity for a Global Chat and team only in-game chat, etc..) They don't seem to realise these things or they aren't the intelligent geeks I thought they were! I love this game and I'm doing these things (emailing feedback, positive and negative, and doing these forums) to ultimately improve the overall experience of the game, I want to see it grow into a truly great game, it has so much more potential! I hope this new game mode comes out soon bcoz I'm pretty much over all these things this game lacks and desperately needs! And that's a big call coming from someone that has been addicted to this game from the start. Please leave a comment and let me know ur thoughts. Thanks guys.

What league are you in bes4stm0de? I saw a lot of this in gold and lower, but in Diamond players seem to take winning more seriously... not sure if that continues up to Champion league. Just keep playing and try to have fun despite the careless players. Most of us feel somewhat like you do from time to time.

Sounds like you need to squad more. The only way to win consistently is with a squad of good pilots. Maybe join a clan and learn some more tactical skills.

Not so sure about that. I am currently qualifying for Diamond II, possibly for the tenth time. So far, I had exactly zero battles that were 6 on 6. When the maximum of beacons capped on the Moon map is 1 there is something seriously wrong. On the firetrucking moon! And there are, obviously, good players who cap beacons as normal and play to win. I see them all the time... on the red team. Maybe where you are, the Diamond league is where it gets O.K. But my experience tells me it's where it gets really weird.
I'm with be4stm0de on this, it doesn't matter what league you're in, sometimes you hit a rough spot (result and/or teammate-wise) and the only thing to do is to grit your teeth and power through... and hope it gets better.

Hello Beastie.
I understand your frustration. It happened a couple of times to me today. Players more interested in getting their kill or damage gold prizes instead of getting beacons. Win or lose they do not care as long as they get their gold and maybe extea silver at the end of the day.
A possible solution might be that in addition to killing 18 bots or dealing x amount of damge you also need to cap a number of beacons. Otherwise people are going to keep disregarding beacons.
I do not think there is a great need for tutorial. In my first game I noticed that my name and teammates'names were blue. Whst happens if i shoot them? Nothing. Ok. Those on the other side in red I presumed to be enemy. I was intrigued by those white lights so I went on one of them and it turned blue and I noticed a blue dot lit up at the top of the screen. A red dot lit up and I looked round and saw a red line. So obviosly i have to get more white lines to turn them blue but there aren't enough white lines. What do I do?
What happens if I go on a red line? Oh, it goes white so I can turn it blue. Ok. I got it. I need to get these white lines red.(a month later I found out that the lines are called beacons and that the red and blue bars are not the 10 minute counter but are the beacon counter bars). All this I learned in 10 minutes flat.
It is not rocket science and it is not rewriting the Magna Carta. My 5 year old daughter knows what to do in the game so we should not shift ALL the blame on Pixonic. The game is actually simple enough.

I dunno...I'm in Android Diamond II and things have just gotten better for me. Gold I is where I first noticed an improvement in matches in general and needed to adjust my play a bit due to improved skills amongst the base. I crossed from Gold I to Diamond II 5-6 days. I've slipped twice entering the challenge mode, but in both cases I was able to end it within 1-2 matches to remain in Diamond II. I do still see fader/tankers, but far fewer of them. The vast majority of my matches are pretty even. Across the whole it seems the number of times I'm stuck with a fader/tanker seems comparable to the number of times the reds have one. The instances where I'm on a team with 2 fader/tankers is low enough that I can only think of one time in the last couple of weeks. As far as capping beacons goes, eh...it just doesn't bother me so much anymore. As I've moved up in the leagues it seems to have gotten both more critical and less time sensitive at the same time. I used to be a mad beacon capper. Ran around with an ECU Cossack for a good while. Now I have no capper. I rarely see cappers anymore. These days my best cappers are my Ancilots, because I can take and/or hold. Now I'm not a particularly good player, just average, so I could be wrong, but somewhere between Gold I and Diamond II it seems that there was a shift in beacon capping. It's not something people rush to do as much anymore. Sometimes, beacons can sit unclaimed for the first 3rd of the match, because...it doesn't matter. It's the movement of the bars that matters. While I can only speak for myself, it seems there's a far greater awareness of how quickly the bars decrease in relationship to the time left on the clock and with that a greater sense of having time to work position, or take care of something else first. Beacon capping isn't just done, because it needs to be done at this point. The total cap numbers seem to be less than what I remembered from the lower leagues. Beacon capping seems to be done with more of an intentional territorial claim, over the lower league beacon flipping wars where they're just flipped, not owned. Not saying flipping wars never happen anymore, only that's to me it seems there's a shift occurring and that trend is slowly falling by the wayside. Anyway, that's just my perspective. Here's a little something I put together last night. 3 back to back Diamond II matches from an average Joe:

Just keep playing and try to have fun despite the careless players. Most of us feel somewhat like you do from time to time. I'm teetering between Gold and Diamond right now. I just went back into Diamond III for the second time after being beaten rather violently back down to Gold, and I get the worst of both worlds here. I ether have gold and silver league players like be4stm0de describes who can't tell a beacon from a fire hydrant, or I get the higher level diamonds (and some experts) with hangars 2, 3, and 4 levels above mine. The only plus about the first scenario is I usually get high damage and beacon regardless of wins. There is no upside to the second -- it's just one pounding after another.
