I think the Trebuchet and Gekkos are way too strong for long-ranged weapons! It's not fair someone can deal that much damage from so far away! Their dps needs a drastic reduction! With all these slow robots you can't even get close to them with most robots! By the time you've spent half an hour walking towards them to get into range, you have no energy left! It's wrong, it's not fair and I'm really getting tired of this game! I've spent so much money on upgrades and the best robots but it feels like everytime I upgrade a robot, it gets weaker and I'm getting killed quicker! Everytime I upgrade a weapon it feels like it's dealing less dps than before! Come on Pixonic, you're starting to lose me, I've always loved this game and have hundreds of hours of gameplay under my belt (not to mention the hundreds of dollars I've spent here too) but now it's just getting annoying! Also, this game needs a tutorial for all beginner players! Not just some YouTube link with a gamer trying to show people how to play, but a bonefide official Pixonic tutorial to show all these total noobs and general dumb players how to play the game and how to get beacons! So many of my games are ruined by being teamed up with players that have no idea and that don't even try to get beacons! Which inturn affects my league standing and win rates which I strive so hard to maximise It's so frustrating! Also for a war game not to factor in 'Kill counts' as a reward mechanism baffles me! Why wouldn't kills count toward overall ranking or even have a listing in our stats? I'd have over 20 thousand kills but that just seems irrelevant in this game! Why? Kills should also be part of a players ranking and we should have a kill count on our profile. But it's just too late to implement that now. It's an oversight by you (Pixonic) that is not good. Considering 1 of our main objectives is to go out and kill robots! ~BE4STM0DE

be4stm0de Snipers are more of a battlefield hazard than something you should normally try to take out... Just don't expose yourself so much that you die. Take the few hits you can't avoid, but remember the focus: get and keep beacon lead and a bad sniper becomes a liability for the enemy, while a good sniper ditches the sniper bot to help get beacons back. Otherwise, sounds like you should now concentrate more on developing your skill, than in your equipment. Good gear only goes so far, but ultimately War Robots is a game of skill, or rather many skills.

My Hangar is constantly changing. 716k max damage is ok. But I tend to (because most others don't) is concentrate on being a beacon runner. I usually start with Doubled ECU bot to lock in the strategic centre beacon initially..then back that up with a fast run back to that beacon with my double Thunders..I then look to tank support any team members that might be struggling with the defense of their beacons with whatever heavy bot I have on hand. I really can't wait for this new beacon spawn game mode. Also I am very "straight up the middle" type of aggressive player and much more aggressive than many others I play with. What is your max damage Jarvis. Please share

I share your frustration beastmode. Time and time again my Rog gets roasted by some slouching treb butch or Fury or by some ugly gekko patton or leo that are at the far side of the map.
I know that you will be pressed to get a beacon but to get to that beacon you will have to use all the cover you can. These snipers are really a pain in the petunias but they are part of the game so there really is nothing to be done. Hopefully the new maps will allow for either more cover or for more fluid gameplay that negates the sinpers.
Till then make good use of the shield bots for protection and their speed to run for cover.

Wow, how can you have max damage of only 716 621 with your hangar and being an experienced player? Maybe you need to start play more aggressively?
I think you need to switch the Ecus for Pinatas in that Stalker, replace the Hydras on the Fujin with Tulumbas / replace the Fujin with a DB, and replace the Fury with a Russian Griffin. You can only play so aggressively with a risky and a defensive hangar setup.

Snipers are great on some maps, useless on others. Even on the good maps they are limited and can be countered. hard to shoot light bots with a sniper. Stay in cover and move fast and jerkily..I love to snipe but often unload a full 'zap' only to miss a jinking light bot. If you are in the cross hairs of a sniper bot draw its fire to give other players a chance. Keep drawing fire until almost dead then abandon your bot which I believe denies them the kill thus annoying them
No on kill bonus. People don't need encouragement to kill - it is fun and feels like it's the point of playing. Beacons do need a bonus because running around capping beacons is hard work and relatively dull.
A tutorial might help but most noobs cut class as a matter of course. We are here to play not study.
I guess I went about 100 games before I capped a single beacon. I couldn't figure out why we were killing bots galore and still lost... now I field a heavy only hangar [well - I have a carnage but it feels heavy] and still often cap enough beacons to get the bonus.
Still - a tutorial couldn't hurt.

Take the few hits you can't avoid, but remember the focus: get and keep beacon lead and a bad sniper becomes a liability for the enemy, while a good sniper ditches the sniper bot to help get beacons back. Sometimes there's no avoiding it. I got half my health taken out by one Treb shot just stepping away from spawn on Canyon. Before I could get to cover, the second shot took me out. The game was thoroughly dominated by Trebs and those $&@?#%ing Gekkos. My toughest bot had half its health gone before I was ever in range to take a shot at anything else, and by then it was no contest -- easy pickings for him. The rest of my hangar was thoroughly useless. THAT is why people are saying those things are so badly OP now. It's no longer just controlling where people can go when they can be taken out with two blasts before getting anywhere close to the action. One of my worst games ever, next to the one a little while before it where I got clubbed to death by a squad of tankers with 12/12 hangars.

Things that frustrate me; coming to the war robots forum to discuss unusual weapon load-outs or meta shifts and see NOTHING but endless whining posts. These are not rants, they are pitiful mewling and crying. I kill gekko bots, I kill Spydra bots, I kill Treb snipers, shield bots and knifers. Yup, soetimes when I am not careful I get smashed by trebs before I get back to cover. I have even died by gekko, though it's still pretty rare.
P.S. I have had games were I specifically focus on not getting beacons early, but attritioning the red team and gaining field superiority prior to getting beacons and have won often doing so.

Pffft..Doom, this forum is here so people can air their grievances, which ALL OF US have a right to do! If u want to chat about ur weapons load-outs, why come to Rants? Go to General Discussions! What u think u ain't gonna see some quote "Mewling and crying" in a forum called Rants? Are u serious dude? LMFAO! Who's mewling and crying now? Hey bud, what, did u expect to see us all here holding hands and singing Koombaya? Oh and I've racked up over 2020 wins and didn't do that by just standing around pulling my ****! I kick@ss dude! But hey, thanks for ur feedback. XD

be4stm0de, I have over 2,000 victories as well but I would think that I also have over 2,000 losses. It just means you play a lot and is not an indication of your abilities.

That Hangar setup you screenshot and posted here isn't the setup I use all the time! For you to think that is quite niave. I have every robot (except the new Korean ones) and I'm constantly changing them around. That's one thing I love about this game is it's diversity in bot setups. What's your max damage Jarvis?
