In light of my other post, I'm creating this thread to say anything that I like about the game. I'm gonna start with something, and you're welcome to join me if you want.
I think the Rog buff was perfect. It's deserving of it's premium price, fast, fun, but not OP. Good job Pix. ?

I concur, the Rog is a favourite of mine. I don't play him often though; he dies too quickly at lvl8. (My bad skills)
Fujin shield buff was welcome.
I like my Orkans; I've worked very hard on those. Good fun.
Pins have changed the game for me when they were buffed. I was already using them at lvl10 on my Leo.

I liked the rocket buff. And how quickly they nerfed it. It was definitely overpowered to at least some degree, but it created an entirely new meta. And they didn't let it get out of control for months, they fixed it after a month.
Some people think that was stupid on their part, but I'm glad I got to experience that different style of game play.

Get ready for a lot more pins & needles flying across the air (punishers & molots), much more Darth Patton followers (lvl. 12 gekko pattons), and my favourite plasma being spat everywhere!

I like the matchmaking system.
Honestly, I do. I think it puts me in competitive matches that are fun.

I like the minor bug fixes at every update. I get stuck less and less on the different maps. Haven't died in a while because of it....

In the last couple of days, I have come to appreciate the affect of the 2.9.2 changes.
At first, I was trying to succeed by trying out all sorts of weapon combos. It was interesting and fun, trying every combo under the sun and develop new strategies. I was surprised how effective some unusual combos were, that hadn't worked at all before. (BTW, a Thunder/ancile Fury can be quite a brute.) But one problem: I was getting blown to bits, and quickly. That extra damage everyone is dishing out was keeping me from being truly effective. Also, all the different ranges and styles I was playing with was preventing me from developing cohesive beacon control and cover strategies.
So I took what I learned from playing with all the stronger weapons and dialed in my hangar. Surprisingly, it has forced me to use cover more effectively, and I have figured out how to use certain weapons in certain phases of the match to take beacons, keep beacons, and kill reds with out exposing myself unnecessarily. I am using all brawlers, and my longest ranged weapons are Taran/Magnums. Getting everything tuned has me on a good win streak, and my rank higher than ever.
So I guess the new meta has been tough, but it refined my play.
One fun thing - Punisher/Thunder Lancilots are damn effective closers if you bring them in after the reds are down to 3-4 players.

Lowering the Quickdraw time on Jesse. Fixing the Zeus bug. Releasing the moon map. Wait .. What's this, now? - lower Quickdraw time on Jesse? Well, 「whiskey tango foxtrot」 about Doc and Butch? .. that's some racist BS, right there .. Doc and Butch need it.

Loooove the Gekko buff. Finally my gekko patton bites hard. Cooking up carnages, fujins.. Cossacks and stalkers get singed in 1 salvo.. Pix has finally made gekkos worth buying. As the only Au long range weapon, gekkos are now balanced. Now im saving up for the skull paintjob. Then finally, General patton can be General grievous.

Great job, Pixonic. You officially created the best mobile FOS game, warts and all. And continue to demonstrate that, even when hiccups do occur, efforts are made to rectify them ASAP. And even if the players don't always get exactly what they thought they wanted, in the end they get something pretty darn good instead.

It was around the same time when they were tweaking all the anciles, including the bit recharge rate increase of the ancile weapon. The Carnage and Fujin shields got affected too. Just think back to when you started seeing all the Ancilots coming out. It probably overshadowed the Fujin buff somewhat. Not sure the release, but the Wiki should have that if you need to know.

Last night, I had a chance to play for about 1.5-2 hrs straight. Even though I started playing over 1.5 years ago, I had a blast. I had matches where I dominated, and some where I was out of bots in 4 mins. Still had trouble convincing myself to stop playing and go bed.
You're doing something really right here, Pix. Thank you.

Thank you Pix for regular updates. Overall, I feel like balance has been improved and the incremental changes are most often an improvement based on sound reasoning and data. Sure, MM was rough at first, but it has been steadily improved and games in general are closer and "better" than the were previously, even if I am no longer as dominant as i used to be.
Thank you for looking to expand the game with new game modes, new maps, new bots, and weapons. Sure, I'd like to be able to get them easier, but just being there isn't too bad, haha. Events are welcome, just make sure you phase the no longer brand new stuff into Au/Ag/Wp currencies eventually.

Ooh, the moon map! I like that one. Have you seen the next map? "Valley" - looks Brilliant!! Don't know when its coming though Valley is good. It's not good for Zenit/Norcums. Also makes it harder for Trebs and Gekkos. For me, with all the buildings and obstacles, it's more for the knife fighters than the campers. I'm anxious to see the Pixies roll out (what I call) Warehouse. They ran it a few test servers ago (War Robots 2.9.0 (266) back in May). With its multilayered, high walled, urban warfare type layout, it's definitely for knife fighters. With so much action taking place in covered lower levels, long range shooters will have limited success here.

Just a note on the map, near as I could tell, it looked kinda like a super container ship. Both of the new maps for sure limit long-range fighting. Noricum should be effective after the buff (hopefully not TOO effective???). I found them to even be useful on the Freighter, didn't test them on the Valley.

Some forum members come positively unglued when you use that word. N*r*c*m, Z*nn*t, H*dr*, and Sp*r*l are forbidden in some circles. If it aint a Tulumbas, Pin, Orkan, or Pinata, it aint a missile, and shouldn't be allowed.

They're the type of weapon that is so difficult to balance as to be either useless or horribly overpowered. But, on the same note, kudos to Pix for attempting to fix those useless weapons and bring more diversity.

I love the new balance update. Punishers make me happy. Tempest is not quite my heavy weapon of choice... BUT, it goes well with Gekkos on a Leo... while I finish upgrading number 2 to try on either a Carny or a Natty. I've had some really good games lately. I hope the rockets stay non-proximity and only explode on impact. Good thread. Happy happy joy joy.

But, on the same note, kudos to Pix for attempting to fix those useless weapons and bring more diversity. When someone uses them well, like a team was doing on Yam while on my Silver Acct a few mins ago... they can help drain your HP and cause distractions without an additional buff, as they are now... the reload buff was prolly all they needed. Any more would be too much. IMO. That team had either 1 guy with 2 or 3 Zenit setups or multiple people had them... but they didn't bring them out all at once. Threre was a constant stream of them even after a Blue took 1 of them out. And at the end of a game when blues and reds are down on bots and the beacon bar is close... they can help to finish off the lone survivors... especially if crippled and unable to get to cover. Not great weapons, but if used well, can fulfill a role. Hopefully, though, they don't get buffed and become popular. I would not be too stoked about that.
