Instead of direct damage buff to weapons , I think to make certain weapons viable pix could consider adding special abilities, like : armor piercing; firearms able to detonate rockets in mid air with certain chance, etc.
These could make several build viable on some occasions.

I suggested something similar once: Targetable Missiles and Rockets. Would be great if you could save your own @$$ or a Teammate's ..

How about turret mode?
In turret mode, the robot deploys a drone that can be used to peek and shoot over obstacles, but while doing so, the main robot is immobilised, and its weapons are disabled. Also, the weapons on the drone can only be used while in turret mode.

Ok, here is two :
1. A pure beacon capper with only one light slot, but with jumping ability + cloak.
Just to make life of people miserable trying to catch it.
2. A heavy robot with a fairly good mobility, and five light slots. Basically a heavier Patton. I would finally have a use for my collection of Aphids !

I've always liked the EMP idea. As well as land mines - although I believe land mines should be capable of being targeted and destroyed if detected before walking on them.

Ballistic missile Heavy slot Huge area effect weapon with massive blast radius. Effective against a tight group of bots. Deal massive damage but long reload.
Ancile bot
An ancile counterpart of britbot seperated by heavy, medium and light class. Hard point:
Heavy: 1 heavy, 2 light , 1 medium Medium: 2 medium, 1 light Light: 1 heavy, 1 light
Ancile:
Heavy: same as heavy ancile Medium: same as heavy ancile Light: same as carnage
Hulksmash
A heavy robot equipped with battering ram and rush ability. Each hit destroy a weapon or break leg. Battering ram range 50m.

The Firestorm
Type: Heavy hardpoint, plasma machine gun Damage: 500 rounds, 50 rounds/second, 200(?) damage/round at max level, 15 second reload Range: 400m, so it will be able to counter other plasma weapons and Thunder, but won't replace the Punisher (also it has dispersion like a normal machine gun)
Also your enemies will be blinded by the ridiculous amount of plasma flying their way
