My first impression was, that my RDB is now useless. After playing a second match, i didn't really notice the Pin/Tulu nerf, so i just sucked in the previous match and the 2 weapons are still very good.
I did not notice any reduction of splash damage though.

What's wrong with being flat footed?

Ok well they aren't useless but I have been using the rdb since before the heavy bot speed buff, I routinely score top spot with just rdb's I play them all the time for over a year. I think I would notice when the radius gets reduced since I am very good at corner shooting near and far and hitting moving bots, jumping or not. It is definitely different to me.

Well, according to the patchnotes, the rockets fire a bit slower now, so this might be what you are experiencing. I thought the nerf is going to be worse, but since i don't notice a difference at all, i don't mind. If you are so good, i am sure you will get used to it. Will just take a lil' bit longer to fire all rockets

The OP might hate me but if this is true .. Awesome sauce!
It had to be done. It makes sense and with the damage Buff, much needed for some semblance of balance.
I use both Tulumbas and Pins but on different Mecha. I haven't paid too much attention to the Splash radius or damage but I sincerely hope that this is true.

The only real reason is it might reduce the effectiveness of their new moneymaker the lag cheat bots(dash).

No, what's happening is that the rockets no longer explode next to a bot, but rather go to their full range i.e. 500 meters in regards to the Tulumbas and Pins. The same can be said for things like Orkans and Pinatas.

It's different, but alas, that is your opinion. I think it will encourage corner-shooting, among other things, now that rockets can no longer hit players from the sides. I like it, even if it means I can no longer scare people away from a side of a building w/ Orkans and such.

I have been corner shooting for a long long time, still no real reason just like removing the ability to step backwards.

The blast radius sure seems smaller. I've played an RDB for about a year now and I am happy with this change. They were too powerful. It seemed like 1/2 of the bots on the field at any one time were using Tulumbus. The lack of variety got old for me.
I miss playing a mixed hangar of rockets and plasma. I hope Brit bots make a comeback. I am going to give my Galahad another try.

The only reason is lag cheat(dash) bots. The blast radius would leave them vulnerable to skilled rocket users, they don't want to have to tune everything to make them meta breaking like they did with the britbots. Can't have those big p2p whales 「female dog」ing.

Can't have those big p2p whales ?female dog?ing. Pix certainly does look like they are stacking the deck heavily in the Korean bot's favor and making the Scourge weapon a must-have. First they create the Scourge - a weapon supremely benefiting the Bulgasari (Mk3). Then they buff the rockets so everyone is dependent on them ----- then coincidently nerf the RDB rockets so that firing interval ensures that you can't hit a moving Dash Mk1 with your entire rocket salvo (even if you timed it perfectly and fired where you expect them to land). So now rockets can't really hurt a Mk1 and bullets can't track them well enough, the only way to kill a Mk1 on the tight maps is to use ---- a Scourge. So unless you really like frustration, you'll at the least be buying lost of Scourge weapons, cause those Mk1s and Mk2 will be nearly impossible to stop with the weapons currently available (too bad if you spent all your silver upgrading rockets).

Just played a few more games and tried to hit red bots with splash around corners. Much more difficult now. Something is definitely different than prepatch. I don't mind the change, I just wish Pix was more transparent.

I use two RBD Griffin's,and I was the happiest man in the world when they said they are going to add reload to pins and tulumbas. Then I had soo much fun with RBD'S suddenly in next update they now become useless. In my first match I fired first salvo at gareth and most of them missed I thought it as my mistake. Then I saw a Zeus/gekko Leo hiding aside a wall so I unloaded my salvo again this time is causally zipped past Leo and hit a wall behind him. Then I got my 「bum-bum」 handed by a DB griffin

I am very curious about what is going to happen (I'm on iOS). Just played another match on Canyon where there were only MRS. Very boring and very deadly as I am using only CQB Bots.

You guys use so many terminology. Ohh.. what I wanted to say. I was about to give up playing War Robots after that update of tulu/pin which enabled continuous fire. Half of the bots in game are Griffins wih tulu/pins now. . I even lose pvp to tulumbas on 200meters with my griffin pinata/orkan, that's usually because they are +3 to my lvl, but it's ridiculous anyway. My galahd needs one precise shot from tulu to lose 4/5 of his life. And it is a long range weapon!!! I would be very happy if they reduce efficency of the tulumbas on IOS as well. I've seen only android update so far. Just check this nice group of 4 griffins with tulumbas! It's so exiting to play against them, u can't even imagine. Well of course u can..

Almost as mad as when their support staff said that you could never step backwards, till I pulled out the video. Guess that's why their terms of service don't want you sharing support responses.. Lying, conniving, money grubbing scum that they are.
