I saw once that Dash bots have gauges in their ability botton, so that they can do two successive dashes if they want. this reminded me of what I've been thiking for a long time - why Griff, Rog, etc can jump only one set height and distance? what if the jump button also has a guage (some kind of energy accumulating over time) and the robot jumps going upward only during the time the pilot presses the button? any saved energy can be used for the next jump. the jump can have three step-wise gradients - short, medium, and full jump, to make it simpler, instead of "press the button = going up, until the energy depleted". this may cause a problem if a player want to shoot while going upward (aphids? does anyone shoot anything else while going upward?), but I think Pix can solve it somehow. maybe pilots can grow another finger to do so anyways, this will prevent the jump bots always present themselves as practice targets whenever they dodge something and make pilot skills more relevant. what do you think?

That's a major change. I haven't played this that long but I think they normally just change the HP, speed or like for the Rog where they decreased the jump time refresh from 10 seconds to 7 seconds. The Rog is a beast in this game IMHO. Instead what they could do for the Griff is change the time to like 17 seconds instead of 25. The Griff is a pain for me to walk across a map. Can't wait till you can spawn to whatever beacon you want.

Rog is a beast atm, and I love my Orkan Rog. but many expect that Rog (and perhaps to certain degree, Griff) will become obsolete when Dash bots and Scourge got released, since with current jump system, jumping presents the robot for a certain quick death. (perhaps the bigger problem would be the Scourge... ) and the release of Dash bots will force a major change anyway, e.g. they introduced a guage (or a charge) on the robot ability button, to enable successive dashes for them. it will not be too difficult to add sth similar for the jumping ability as well,

right now the only way to control your jump distance is to "jump against a wall/building". when you want to dodge sth or get a line of sight but don't want to go far or too high, then jump towards an obstacle so that you can cut short the jump. very situational and kind of ridiculous, thinking of what a real robot would do ...

Its hard to adjust but can be done

I like this idea, although it may be hard to implement. It adds a layer of skill, and can be utilized in so many different ways.

I doubt dash bots will be available easily. The Quickdraw bots aren't that easy to get and you rarely see them. Why would I expect a bot better than those bots to be easily gettable. The cool bots (Doc, Butch) cost crazy gold. I would get a Doc possbily if I didn't have to buy influence at a not 1:1 rate unless I get 18,000 at a time but holding out hope. Maybe we can win a dash bot in October event.

I'd make it so if you tap the jump button you get a full jump. But if you press and pull away a bit then release you get a medium jump. Or press, pull away farther and release for a small jump. This should be quick to do and allow you to keep firing much as you would with the jump button now.
Jumping would have to occur on touch release for this to work, not sure how it is now.

Jumping would have to occur on touch release for this to work, not sure how it is now. or you can press the jump button for certain time to decide how many "charges" you want to use for the jump. then release it to start the jump. if you press it longer (not too long, maybe less than 1sec), it will use all three charges for a maximum jump. press it a bit shorter, use two charges for a medium jump. just touch and release will use one charge for short jump. after jump, there should be a certain duration of cool time, regardless of the type of jump, otherwise a Griffin can hop around all the time with continuous short jumps (actually that could be fun). and the charge regenerates over time, with the max being three, also, heavy and medium bots may have different max charges: Griff 3, Rog 2, and Cossack 1 or 2 (Cossack may want to hop around all the time, so current form might be just okay),
