It does have an asian flare. I like the design. Kind of a cross between a Griffin and a Leo.
I'm not keen on the weapon placement(s), though ..

That new Zeus weapons seems like a horrible idea. There's no possible way to know where/when it's coming, and literally the only way to avoid it is to avoid your teammates. So simply having one of those bots on the field can force you to not work together as a team.
It'll be fun if you're the one using it, but I'd be worried to see its affect on the live server.

Mother of all that is holy...
If what you're saying is true, that will be the most overpowered bot in game. Mobility and firepower!?

Reminds me of a more ornamental Blood Angel Contemptor Dreadnought.

You really can't even avoid your teammates except on the huge maps. The damage spread range is 300 meters. I was often far away from teammates and was still getting zapped. At lvl 8 it was only an annoyance but I assume at 12 it would become an issue. Especially if all the reds are sporting 2 on each bot. As far as using it. I couldnt stand it. I've never been a fan of the Zeus weapon since I prefer the traditional weapon mechanics but slapped 2 on the new bot with a Zeus to see what it could do. IMO it didn't do much at all and just left me defenseless countless times. To me the new bot seemed like a hybrid griffin on steroids and was better suited for brawling much more than the support mode of the Zeus weapons. I found the thunder/taran setup to be especially devastating followed by the thunder/orkan. I really had a blast playing those bots today. Nice break from the event grind.

As much as it has 2 medium slots + a heavy slot with the ability to jump and stay in stealth, the only reason why I still see it as a balanced bot and not overpowered is for it's lower than usual health for a heavy robot. Not only that, it has no defenses other than its stealth. Anything could kill this thing, just gotta learn when it's the right time to do it.

This new bot is the very reason that I am not going to buy into the Korean bots immediately when they get here. Frankly, I'd rather have 4 of these new jumping stealth bots and 1 Dash Mk1 (the Mk1 will be the 1 bot needed to grab beacons in the new beacon advance mode). Maybe I'd get 1 Dash Mk3, but I feel sure the this new bot is superior to the Mk3 ---- especially with the gun 2x buff against physical shields coming.
I'll buy several Scourges, as that weapon will absolutely redefine suppressive fire and firing lane control tactics inside 600m ---- and serve well all platforms that carry it when the Beacon Advance and Death Match modes get here.

I'd just like to add that the 'arms' are horrible. They should shorten them, and have any medium weapons be mounted upside down to tuck them further up into the underneath of the shoulder pauldron.

even with the stealth on, if its profile is tall enough, will it not be attackable with thunder etc? and the zeus-like weapon can do friendly fire? superb

5 minutes of them on the TS and I already hate them. Of course EVERYBODY is using them, so all you see right now are those 「gosh darn 」 stealth eyes jumping all over the battlefield. I do not like them at all, and if they start being commonplace in the real game, then I'll be quitting. And that's about all the time I'll be spending on the TS this weekend as well -- I got enough frustration in the real game, I don't need hours more of it shooting into mid-air on the TS, too. No thanks. And yes, Pix will be getting an earful about it from me on the survey. I'm sure there will be the contingent of players that love them all up in my face now -- well, you can have 'em. Knock yourselves out.

So this is like a Stalker-Lance-Griffin basically.
I could see it being pretty effective for closing in on a target, especially if you run Orkans and a Thunder on it.

I really enjoyed this bot on the test server and it actually doesn't feel too OP. It has no shield so once that stealth turns off you are in trouble.
Personally I think this bot looks terrible. I hate the steampunk look and hope they change it soon. The midevil shoulder pads don't fit with the look of the other bots in the game.

So........ how long til we see this one makes its way into live play? And which currency will be needed to purchase one? As for the robot and it's look, I likey. So am I mistaken or does the stealth kick in when the bot jumps?
What was that new weapon being tested? Looked like the heavy version of the Zeus.

Another new bot on top of the upcoming dash bots with OP abilities - Seriously? I have just watched Adrian Chong's video on this bot. While the HP ratio is not equivalent to a Griffin, the stealth and distance jump abilities certainly counter any shortfall. It looks like you can say goodbye to the Griffin for a start - all that time and resources invested by players in a meta bot. Another energy weapon with OP ability is also proposed on top of the Zeus and the upcoming Scourge which hits other players as well - way to go to discourage team play and keep them dispersed. These rollouts appear to be a need for revenue rather than a planned or programmed approach to improving game play (refer to comments in this thread and the Korean bot thread of "I want 3 or I want 5" etc). It's a pity that time isn't being used in development for releasing more maps to encourage differing gameplay, improving the matchmaker system and resolving tanking issues.

I wrote a big thumbs down on the medium prototype weapon. Note if a prototype weapon uses another weapon's skin, this is an idea that's in a very early stages and viewed as exploration. Its possible we may never see it again. Other weapons include a heavy "shockwave" weapon, and a heavy "boombox" weapon. I think Shockwave and Boombox are the same weapon being explored on, a sort of short to medium ranged sonic weapon.
If a prototype reached the stage where it now has its own distinct model, like the Flamethrower weapon, chances are its already approved for release in the future.
And for that matter, any prototype, like this new robot, is already a confirmed, and just needs to refine its final specs for balancing.

Agreed, the new medium weapon is lame. The Zeus look was just a placeholder so ignore that. The weapon affects all reds in a small radius which sounds great for the new bot but I found it boring.
With the dashbots coming out and maybe this new heavy, the griffin will become a second tier bot. Agreed it's too bad for everyone who has leveled it up but these new bots will create a new top tier of play and extend the life of the game for those at the top.

Maybe one more thing to add. If the releases continue at the foreseen rate there will be no stable time for people to discover the new meta and enjoy the fruits of their labour / effort they put into the task of doing so. This seems like a shift to p2w by the frequent release of better weapons and bots.

If they space the Inquisitor out a bit from the dash we will have a few different metas to play over the next few months.

I really dont care how the bots look themselves, more concerned on how they perform. Although truth be told, the more cartoonish / unrealistic the bots become I think takes away from the game as a serious competitve shooter.
I think coming up with new content is great and I'm all for variety and choice, I've built my hangar the long way around with plenty of it. 4300 victories and only 3 L10 bots w 8 L12 weapons, but enough leveled behind it run 2 hangars in Expert/Master tiers.
*Point is, content is great for longevity of the game - (more maps anyone!) BUT FIX THE (GAME-MM & LQ) PART OF GAME ALREADY!

Cartoon does not take away from serious and competitive, see Overwatch, DoTA 2 and League of Legends.

Haven't been too excited about the Korean Dashes but this one will be a great bot--possibly one that will end up replacing the griff.
Not sure about the bottom half's design though--a bit too retro--reminds me of a buccaneer/puss in boots...
