I know that the britbots espeacily the Galahad and Lancelot has been the best bots in the game recently (very legendary) but some say since update 2.9(I think it's the rocket update) they have lost some viability (whatever that means) but on both gold purchase priorities lists,(strayed and wikia) the Galahad has been moved down quite a lot, and I don't even know where any of them went for Strayed gold list. Does this mean that there not good anymore or something? (I have never played any britbots before so I don't know what it's like to play it so I'm asking you guys) I feel like my Gareth is ?poo-poo?e now... I returned to this game a few months ago after a year break.. so many changes. Found out my Geps were useless so I got a Gareth.. I loved its like lvl 9 or 10, whatever max speed is. I loved it.. eventually got a Orkan for it running lvl10 orkan/mag and Im doing ?poo-poo?e now since these missile updates... Tumbs etc just destroy my Gareth... Ever since past few updates.. its just useless now.. (Expert 3 atm BUT its uselessness started Diamond 1&2. In my games today I thought that still, for all the talk about how the update didn't help the britbots, I still saw huge amounts of them today. All three were everywhere in the games I played, so it's really not like they are a dead breed or anything close to that. I still think that some people have really overstated the impact of the update on the britbots. Sure an increase of missiles is not a good thing for them, but they are still some of the toughest robots around there, frankly.

I believe the Brit bots to be still viable. But a lot more vulnerable than before with the rocket buffs. People just can't run them into the open so carelessly but if used right they have their pros about them. I do think the dash and descend will bring a new component into the game. If they don't scale down the descend bot a lot during beta testing, it looks like a real meta changer to me.

A lot of people running Garreth right now because of beacon event tasks

<snip> I have 2 maxed out plasmahads that I run occasionally because they used to be my favorite bot, but I tend to save them for later since most people run long/mid range bots first. <snip> My all 9s Plasmahad is still in service. It did a short tour as a missile boat but that didn't last long. Depending on the map I save mine for identified target counter spawning. The current missiles hasn't really ended it, just made life a bit harder. Level difference has a bigger impact. Oddly enough I've noticed a bigger effect on my Zarnage and Fujin. Constant hits does wonders for stripping or keeping shields off.

Brit Bots are as good as before, it's just the battlefield which has become more toxic to them. They were as vulnerable before to rockets as now, what changed is just the hype on the rockets is still high since the patch, and way too many people are fielding long range rockets , even more than a balanced gameplay would really need. Galahad is still my main workhorse in every game, it's 50km/h speed is just too good, and the versatility to slow down and shoot while shielded, still saves me most of the time. On the plus side, Galahad is still the master of corner shooting, and a really awesome capper/tactical bot. You just need now to keep your eyes open and check your opponents, and maybe not rush toward an RDB Lancelot has lost a lot, considering his "dodging" capabilities are really limited due to low speed, but the Ancilot is really good right now, actually there have been games where i could keep occupied even 2 rocket enemies without being really damaged, or 3 lower level RDBs. Would i spend gold on them right now? Maybe i wouldn't buy 2 Galahads as i did before, but 1 Galahad+1Lancelot seems to me a good starting point toward whichever Hangar you got in mind. ''but 1 Galahad+1Lancelot seems to me a good starting point toward'' thanks. now I feel a lot confident now that my saved gold will go toward Lancelot instead of 5th slot. Lol

Lol I got my lancelot around the same time i got my 5th slot, it was at the end of the last event. I got my Galahads before the 5th slot. always consider that you need the weapons for those bots, and the Bots level for them to shine. Galahad becomes playable when it gets enough speed, at around lvl 6, and u need to bring it at lvl 8-9 Asap. Lancelot shields are a lot weaker than galahad's, it relies more on the Ancile, which is the only thing i brought to 12, and you gotta have a couple of weapons (i went Tarans, to stay "farther" from enemies at around 350, if i can, to reduce the amount of people that shoots me at the same time and have breath for regenerating the Ancile). Another solution could be orkans, but considering you are tight on gold, go for the Tarans. I don't field every battle the Ancilot, but when you see that battle with tons of RDBs, and you just got nuked, that's the time to get the Ancilot on the ground. this is my hangar just to understand the roles i cover: i follow myself these rules: Galahad: if i can, i ALWAYS corner shoot. If i can't because somone shoots u with rockets, i stay always move in cover and exit when i just saw the red unleashed most of his rockets. In case too many rockets, relocate to a different position of the map, while staying in cover from rockets. Lancelot: stay at range (350) to maximize advantage. Stay near some cover, whenever Ancile gets depleted, hide to let it regenerate. Lancelot is the widest bot in War Robots, there are a few points on some maps where u can shoot with both weapons while staying behind some narrow cover to shield you from plasma shots. Plasma shots are your enemy, they target only 1 shield of the 3 u got, and a PDB griffin can hurt you. In case your physical shields are down, go behind allies to make 'em soak the shots, they will enjoy your Ancile and you both will be able to survive longer. Sadly he will die first

I've been running an Pinata/Orkan Gareth and Taran Ancilot the last couple of days, but no Galahad. Seems like neither lasts very long in battle though lol
I think the current META favors bots with maneuverability (like the Rog and Griffin) over those with shields. And the Korean bots may soon fit that role as well. Because environmental cover is guaranteed protection, whereas built-in physical and energy shields are not. But obviously you still need to find new cover once your position is compromised.

Plasmahads may be back soon after they nerf RDB, BUT they also plan to buff orkans and pinatas even more and that 30 m advantage plasmahads have disappears with the griff's jump. Also I heard they plan to increase bullet damage against shields by a lot. I still use a Galahad occasionally but mostly to get dailies done that require medium bots.

Gareths and Galahads will be pounded by all the RDBs... Just two powerhouse RDB griffs can already blast a Galahad away... not to mention with splash damage, those running around it will get it too... As for Ancilots, just think about this, maxed out ancile gives you 95,000 hit points. Let's say Lvl.10 rockets at 2,280 damage each, you're talking about each RDB Griff dealing 54k-ish damage to you, you just need 2 RDB griffs to focus fire on you you'll go down pretty fast... AND remember.... once an Ancilot's shields go down, EVERYONE around will go ape「dookie」 on you !

Don't people get bored using the same bots for ages? The BritBots are gold boots indeed but that doesn't mean they have to be permanent, the dash bots are coming and probably most the people will switch their Lancelots with them. People have to "adapt" (as pixonic says lol).

Silver is a serious issue these days and with how matchmaker sets things up it's a challenge. Unfortuneatley I don't have the option to change bots and weapons without facing the consequences. If Pix can make the game more fun I'll start using silver boosters and one or two of the limited time deals. That could fix the problem in half a year. It would only require a minor mirical on Pixonic's part. In answer to your first question I don't get bored with these bots. Just frustrated when glitches or some other BS happens.

You can get more silver if you sell the stuff you don't need, ofc, and if you have a lot of WP that you don't want, but things with it then sell them for silver. And oh well after the recent buff, a lot of the fun that I used to have has gone, especially with the event since everyone is stealing kills and getting killed by gekkos and spydras is too much.
