Is it better to be a big fish in a small pond or to be a small fish in a big pond?
Intelligence. Is it driven by culture, invention or ability? Koko the gorilla uses sign language to communicate with humans. Koko can understand that there will be a tomorrow but doesn't understand that at some point in the future there'll be a moment in the past. Koko doesn't understand double time jumps. What if there was a more advanced intelligence lifeforms that said to you, "I will have to be have been there". Would you want to rub shoulders with those superior to you? Why?

I rub shoulders with those that are inferior to me. Why? Eradicating them is frowned upon. JK lol. Dude that's pretty deep and heavy. Actually I/don't know. In nature its not always a good deal for the inferior.
