Wasn't the Ancile bubble bigger in older versions like 2 years ago?

From what I have seen on youtube, they both look pretty similar. . Funny I could swear it was bigger and later on when it was next to worthless they shrunk the size to make it harder to knock out but that did nothing then you fast forward to the current buff which I feel needs a larger bubble size again now to balance things.

Ancile has always been 30m in radius. That's the reason why Thunders can hit them from as far as 530m. It's not because Thunders get some kind of additional splash radius, but because the shield extends out another 30m, so the Thunder is within the 500m range of the shield but not the bot.

It might be because the Lancelot is super chubby and it makes the dome look smaller. Other bots like the carnage have a much smaller profile.

Our brains are wired to perceive things relative to the things around them. It's like your childhood home - it seemed enormous because you were small relative to it at the time, but if you go back as an adult, it seems tiny by comparison. The bot size to ancile ratio is exacerbated by the over the shoulder camera angle as well.

I don't know the specs, but last night somebody was standing in upper center corridor on Moon with one on, and I tell ya what, have you noticed this or was it a glitch - the bottom of the energy sphere reached down through the ceiling of the lower tunnel and obstructed our rocket fire at enemy spawn beacon!

If someone is standing around the beacon there, you can fire rockets up through the ceiling and damage them - trident definitely works, and I'm pretty sure I've had some success with tulumbas/pin as well. Orkan/Pinata can drain anciles sometimes if the angles are right, but not wide enough splash to hit the bot.

I'll have to pop a Rog and check it. I love exploring new aspects of maps. It's easy to get into a routine, which I suspect would not be a good thing when doing clan battles because you'd be predictable and telegraphing tactics too much. Thanks for the ceiling tip!

If you're up there, I think trident goes through the floor far enough to hit anciles and tall bots. Tulumbas will hit anciles, and I think some tall bots if the angle is perfect. It can be tough to get it to lock on and find an angle that doesn't break the lock. Much easier firing upward than down in that regard. Best to just play around with it and see what you can get to work.
