Before the update, I had 75% win rate in gold II (they must have turned off the fascist 50% rule). I had great team mates and a fabulous time. Each battle got down to the wire and it wasn't always clear who would win. I could play the way I wanted and still contribute well, making at least the top 3.
I haven't enjoyed a single game since the update. I have lost every single match, finishing in the bottom 3 each time. I've never been so close to genuinely walking away from the game, not because I'm throwing my teddy, but because I see no point. I can't war robot anymore it seems.
My experience of the last 10 games:
- I feel like I'm walking through thick mud. I just can't move fast enough to avoid being hit. - Aim & lock on is slow. By the time my bot has reacted I'm dead. - Screen names above bots get in the way of seeing them in the distance if there are a few together. - Light bots at level 10 take being hit twice before death. - Weapons are effective, but I'm dead too quickly to have any impact. - Game play is glitchy and slow, then the game freezes. - The simulated shake distortion and smoke when being hit by intense fire is overkill. - Raijin is nolonger a tank. It's now a slow bot with no trade off seige advantage. - My teams lose on beacons every single time. No beacon defending, no initiative.
I'm starting to feel like a hobbled game animal. A deer raised in a reserve for rich people to shoot. My team aren't helpful and we're outmatched.
So, one last ditch attempt before I go back to playing Candy Crush. Suggestions very welcome (HELP ME!!)
For reference, I use a combination of the following:
Lvl-10 Stalkers x 2 Lvl-8 Gepard Lvl-8 Rogatka Lvl-9 Carnage x 2 Lvl-9 Fujin Lvl-9 Griffin Lvl-9 Leo Lvl-8 Rhino Lvl-9 Raijin
Lvl-10 Mags x 7 Lvl-10 Pins x 3 Lvl-10 Pinata x 3 Lvl-10 Thunder x 3 Lvl-10 Aphids x 4 Lvl-9 Zeus x 2 Lvl-9 Tarans x 5 Lvl-9 Trident x 2 Lvl-9 Hydra x 3 Lvl-9 Orkans x 3 Lvl-8 Trebuchet x 2 Lvl-8 Tulumbas x 3
Typical 5-slot line up:
Aphid Stalker Tri Carnage Pin/Thunder or Mag/Thunder Leo
With 2 of the following:
Tulu Rog Zeus Carnage Mag/Taran or Pinata/Orkans or Pin/Tulu Griffin Orkans Fujin
Aside from call myself a waaambulence, what could I do going forward? 100 internets and possible boob pic to whoever helps the most.

Hallo.
I totally understand your feelings. The game has changed and for now you need to take damage done by the tulumbas and pins more than before.
Your lineup is not bad actually. Was there a magnum sale at Aldi?
Put Orkans on the Rogata if you want to use it. Put the pin and tulumbas Griffin in your primary lineup. Use the aphids against slow moving or stationary targets. Light and fast robots can evade them.
If you like your go up close and personal in a Griffin, you can put Pinata and Orkans on it. Range would be around 300m then. Make sure to level Pinata to 10 and over before you serve them.
For now keep the trident and zeus carnage.
You can use a hydra and aphid rhino if you fancy but do not charge into battle with it.
Leo is a walking fortress but, slower than my grandma. It cannot evade most attacks so if you have to use it is would stand back and use long range to support.
Do not go gung-ho in battle. Best thing is let your team mates engage a target and then you sneak in and whack them. Then turn your attention to the next beacon or target.
I stand to be corrected about all that I said.
Best thing is to try some setups yourself to see what you like. Keep in mind that this game changes every other month so do not lose heart. A game us to be enjoyed in your free time and should not be frustrating.

The pendulum swings. Eventually it'll go back your way. For now.. grit your teeth, suck it up, stop being a beotch and just bleed...
Joking... but in seriousness; my advice:
sign up for the test server. Matches on the test server are much less competitive, way more diverse and a nice break from the regular grind. Its like weekend warrior robots

Of your 3 steady starters, I would consider what you might be happy replacing the Aphid Stalker with. I have one Stalker set up with Aphids and one with Magnums. The latter does better for me but pretty close...however in Diamond they tend to lose their effectiveness other than grabbing a quick beacon early. I've had more success grabbing beacons with Lancelot or Galahad (weakened indirectly post 2.9 update). Someone mentioned on my poll post about Rogatka which you might try (you already own) instead of the Stalker? With buffs to Tulus and Pins, those Stalker have an even tougher time to stay alive. If you pop a pair of Tulus, Orkans, or Taran on Rog it might help you stay in the battle longer and thus get your win % back up towards the 75%.

I was running low 60's going into update and knocked down to 44%. You will have the swing in War Robots, play through it. Some of my losses were from F'n Faders leaving us to battle with less pilots. Soometimes you will play with (blues) that are under-powered. As far as your hanger, you have many options, experiment with set ups! Best way. I am usually rotating around bots - many with my Carnage between Trunders & Tridents causing me to swap in/out TTFury. I also swapped out my Plasmahad for an RDB griffin, having fun with that! In Expert II, was closing in on Expert I before my MM Adjustment lol....

It may not be you. A lot of players tanked something fierce before the end of the season. The reason being there was a bug the season change prior that allowed players to receive promotion Au again if they started the season at a lower league than what they were playing at(Fixed).
A lot of these tankers are burning through the ranks, and the new damage based point system is shuffling everyone around as it is early in the season. I personally got kicked all the way back into silver 2 post update/per league refresh, but have slowly made my way back to the gold leagues as the 10/10+ hangars trend upwards.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Useful and raises a bit of moral.
I don't mind having a good fight and getting my bottom kicked, I was just curious about what I was doing wrong. And I'm glad it's not just me that gets body slammed down 2 leagues in the space of an hour.
I haven't played since I started this thread I was that fed up. I've been productive around the house today. Being useful in real life is disgusting. It has to stop.
I think I'm under-utilising the Griffin, I'll swap the Stalker for Rog, and stop being a girl. Let's experiment.

Ok. What you should do is use the Fujin, the Rhino, both Carnages, and the Raijin. Then give half of your light and medium slots missile weapons and the other half energy. Put Thunders in your Carnages and Trebuchets on your Raijin. P.S. If this is the most useful post to you, please don't send anything to me. I'm not a pervert.

as you already said, I would use an Orkan/Taran Rog to do what the Aphids Stalker had been doing. I think with many Griffs out there now, Zeus Carnage may be better than Tri Carnage. and why don't you also add a Thunder Carnage? a lvl9 Carn with 2X lvl10 Thunder will be quite fun to play - sneak behind and crush multiple soft-skinned Griffs at once, if you are careful and lucky. Carnages are also cheaper (less silver) to upgrade than other bots. I would keep both Thunder and Zeus Carnages on the lineup. RDB Griff is good, but I think PDB still works great, too, if you can shoot one target together with one or more teammates. (I am now realizing that this suggestion looks more and more like my hanger... well I'm quite happy with mine atm ...) Leo can act as a brawler, which is the one role the lineup kind of lacking. Thunder-mag or Thunder-pinata, I also heard good things about an ancile-leo. Fujin and Raijin can be used as the six man, depending on your mood, etc. hope your luck turn around soon

Stalker Rogatka Carnage Griffin
Now you are not moving through thick mud. That is the biggest problem in my opinion and experience.
Orkans Fujin, wbile BRUTAL, is incredibly short ranged. It's operating range is also well within it's perfect counter, plasma. These combined with it's special ability (sit'n'spin), makes it much slower than it's 40kmh med bot speed would have you believe. Use longer range weapons on it (Tulus are pretty legit now, and there's always Hydras) to off set this or drop it.
Long story short, use faster moving bots, even if it's only faster in spurts, like the Griffin, Carnage and Rhino (NOT the Lancilot though).
It's what I have been doing for some time now and enjoy it much more, even if my bots are not as 'strong' as other choices, because mobility > all IMO.
Spending too mucb time saying "Come on, COME ON!!!" to your phone screen desperately trying to get somewhere is no fun way to play.
