I have 2 Aphids at level 10, have been playing them for 3-4 days on my Stalker or Stuka Griffin. They hardly do fully damage to the red, they perform much worse than my Piñata on Stalker or DB Griffin. Are there any tricks of using Aphids I should've know?
What things I should know to be a better Aphids user? (Eg, how to make Aphids fly over the buildings? )

pick slow fat targets like griffins, hit them as they land after jumping. just keep tossing them from cover until they get pissed enough to come over for a face of orkans. can also fire them one at a time to hit moving targets

Aphids are only useful against slow-moving or still targets. You want to shoot Aphids as much as possible to suppress the enemy and keep them from pushing beacons.

Pattons with 4 Aphids tear me up all the time.

It's one of the best weapons to use on bots that don't have a lot of HP. The best feature is that a bot can stay hidden while firing. Not to mention the reload is on a shorter cycle than a pinata for your DB

That being said, I read through all that and still haven't been able to be that effective with them myself, whether I put them on a Stalker, Galahad, or Griffin. The way I use 'em these days is to gather dust on the shelf in favor of Pinatas or Magnums.

When locked onto an opponent, one can aim between the 2 green brackets that appear to the left and right to curve the missiles in the aimed direction. However, the missiles do not curve as much as the ones on the Spiral.warrobots.wikia.com/wiki/Aphid

Aphids definitely takes some getting used to. They have nowhere near the object avoidance or tracking capabilities of the other homing missles but do hit for substantially more.
Ever fire a load of Aphids into the ground because your target was JUST slightly below you and you thought the Aphids would curve up and over just that little bit? Oh yeah, done that plenty times. Still do.

Tip for aphids. 1.pick slow target. 2.try to hit target moving in ur direction but not the one moving left or right. 3.Point ur weapon toward the bot not side wise while shooting bc if it take a curve route just before fire it does less damage. 4. For fast moving bot fire one by one only on those moving in ur direction forward or backward not side ways. 5. For jumping bot fire ur weapon when they r about to land or if it jumping toward in straight line of ur weapon u can hit him in mid air, it will take full damge.
When I m using aphid on my stalker and come acrros another fast bot I fire my weapon when im to close to him less than 5 m

Don't fire them at faster bots unless the direction is good... Get close... Use higher ground... Fire one then the other

All good advice. But no one mentioned to aim over low points. Make sure there are no obstacles. On Dead City, aim over low part of rocks. On Powerplant, aim over depression in building roof if you want to aim over building. Same with Moon map, but when you get on ramp, you'll notice tons of space junk that your Aphids can hit: habitation domes, that ramp, other small buildings, etc. Just try to wait until they (the red guy) is over the lowest obstacle before you fire. If you're behind cover, take a few steps back and curve your aim to get it over the wall. Also, poke your guns out and shoot it so that you don't expose the rest of yourself. Don't waste your ammo on guys hugging a wall. You should be able to tell from experience. For shield bots like Rhino, it's better to flank them so more missiles will hit. Elevation matters for how much height your weapons get. Also the bot you are using, meaning short bots like Stalkers and Gepards will have hard to time get it over wall, but tall Leo will be fine for same wall. If you're really close, then your missiles will shoot out straight like Piñatas meaning no arc (I don't know what distance).
