Hi fellas. Right now I'm running a Carnage lv. 10 with Thunders both leveled to 10. I just paid 16 million silver to upgrade one of my thunders and I'm wondering, when maxed, do thunders have success smashing Galahad shields? I find that I can usually at least crack a Lance shield with a full volley of thunder fire, which makes sense with Lance' size. When my thunders are maxed will I be able to eat up Galahad or should I always avoid?

It eat away Galahad shield at level 10 also.my is level 9 and it smashed Galahad like a fly. This is how I kill Galahad. Get very close to it. Don't shoot until u r distance less than 100m. While attacking use rush mode ability. In order to get very close and avoid it's plasma and shoot him around it's shiled.
U will be dead if u r not close to him like more than100m or u don't hv full clip of thunder reloaded

If I have my numbers right (doing this from phone)
Lvl10 Galahad shield is ~190k Lvl10 Glahad health is ~110k Lvl10 Plasmahad can dish out ~10k DPS
Lvl10 Carnage health is ~100k Lvl10 Thunder x2 DPS is ~13.5k
You need ~14sec to smash his shield, ~22sec to kill him in frontal attack He needs ~10sec to kill you
Better catch him from behind and hopes he doesn't turn around.
Edit - and that's assuming you can get within 100m of him. It doesn't get much better as you up in level.

As a seasoned and long time Thunder Carny pilot I will say that you should not seek a battle between ANY shield bot if it's 1-vs-1. This goes against the main battle rule of always pitting your strengths against your opponent's weaknesses.
You simply have zero margin of error against shield bots and and there's just no point in it if you can Rush away to find another softer target like rocket Griffin or a rocket/Thunder Leo.
The equivalent would be a Plasma Galahad choosing to fight a DB Griffin. Sure the Galahad can win if it has enough time, but if he's not quick the DB will jump towards him (negating backpedaling) and kill him in one salvo. For the seasoned Plasmahad pilot, the best option is to run away from a DB and fight a Thunder Carnage, Zeus Carnage, or Gekko Patton.
If you must attack a Galahad in a Thunder Carnage, start firing at 500m and empty your clip in him as many times as you San before he gets under 350m. You'll smoke his shield by the time your are in knifing range if him if you are lucky - then it's an easy kill.
Also, always jink on the attack run towards the Galahad, this will make him miss as Tarans/magnums gave to be dead on to register a hits. This will buy you extra shot time with the Thunder (and you need that time because his plasma will kill you quicker than your Thunders will kill him). I am amazed how even Champion level pilots attack in a straight line with Galahads, Carnages, and Rogs (3 very common fast bots in Champion level play).

L10 Thunder DPS is 13.5K per each one if they are fully loaded. You can fire 9x before the reload hits, so 9 x 2 x 13.5K = 243K damage in 9 seconds.
Mano-a-mano is not recommended because he can see you coming a mile away and point his shield your way, meaning you have to break thru it. Instead, wait for another teammate to engage him first, then charge in and get behind him so you don't have to worry about his shield. Another way, is to wait until he is distracted, looking another way, walking in a direction away from you, etc. So you know he isn't paying attention to you, and then you can rush in and take him out fast. Lots of times, they may not even turn around to face you in time because it'll take a few seconds to register what is going on and to figure out where you are. Since he doesn't know you're there, you have a much better chance of staying away from his guns, so approaching from the back is better than the flank for this reason. Also wait until you are very close before you start firing, as this will ensure maximum damage (100m or less).
Again, worst thing to do is a frontal assault against a Galahad. If you must, then wait until he is really close until you go out from cover (150m or less). Then use your charge and juke left and right. If his hit point is low, then that means his shield is already damaged, so you stand a better chance of breaking it. It's preferable to charge these rather than a full health or fresh Galahad.
