I was 'awarded' a bunch of Gekkos during the last event so, being a bit bored with the game, decided to upgrade and run 4 of them on a Patton. At lvl 10, each Gekko apparently does 2,130 of damage and has five 'cells', so a full discharge should yield 10,650 damage x 4 = 42,600. That's a pretty decent amount of damage but, crudely judging by the effect on the target's health bar, I'm not convinced that is what they are actually achieving. Have I got that wrong?
Also, there are 5 cells, but the weapon recharges in 11 notches whilst continuing to fire. Does that mean each notch is worth 5 / 11 = 0.455 of a full cell damage value?

Actually, there are 3 'charges' in a full reload cycle of a Gekko, not 5.

That might explain the smaller impact on the health bar than expected.
I guess one way to find out would be to run a match in which I only fire one full charge then just run beacons without firing a shot for the rest of the match so I can see what the damage total is at the end of the game. May have to do that...

That might be complicated since it reloads while firing and you can shoot a partial charge.

dude - yes, gave it a go. The continuous recharge does make it a little tricky, but I'm pretty sure the gekko still has 3 cells, not 5 as the description says.

The Knowledge Base page still says capacity: 3 pulses, but the damage values were updated.
I timed the full charge unloading and it takes 5 seconds. So something's off.

Full recharge before shooting is the key why? Because they are similar (not exactly the same ) to trebuchet and you have to full reload to do full dmg

I got a lvl 9 pat running 2 lvl 10 and 2 lvl 9 gekks With the misslw buff im seeing alot more 'soft' targets: griffs,rogs, carnies, so i never have a lack of targets. Still the only good maps for a gekk pat are Springfield, yamantu and canyon. It ok on shenzen and useless on the short maps. Still gekk pats are the bane of furys and butches Im gonna stick with mine to lvl12 and see Im expert 1 btw

. So what's the overall impression of 4 Gek's (level 9 or 10) on a Patton ? Worth building one ? I like my Patton Gekko, but only run it once in a while because it's so map dependant. You have to skip the close combat maps to be effective. I'd rather not skip maps as I enjoy all of them.

So i ran a match where i only shot 1 lvl 10 once using all 5 cells. Then ran beacons for the rest of the match. I should've regestered 10650 damage. Buut the stats said i only did 7451 damage. So i wonder if ther is an issue with the gekko atm. Im gonna test more on the test server to see. Because with 2 lvl 10 and 2 lvl 9 gekks i should be hitting for almost 40k damage per cycle but latwly it seems like im not doig the damage i should be.

Ok so i did a match on canyon. Stayed in my lvl 9.5 pat the entire match. Even capped 2 beacons. Did over 600000 damage. I think its possible to hit 1mill damage in a gek pat. Assuming lvl 12 weapons. Not bad considering most of the reds were expert or better.
I even dueled a treb fury. His attention was on me most the match so he was a non threat to my team.
