So, I have a Fury that I've just been having issues make work. I won it out of a chest last week and it's been a little awkward. I've been using an Ancille (also chest) and a pair of Thunders, with mixed results. It'll either walk in and deal huge damage while receiving little, or get smashed. The low speed is also irksome, but sensible on a machine this size and as armed as Fury can be.
I seem to have more success without it, sadly. My best games are ones where I run beacons and keep enemies busy chasing me around, and I often pull the Capture Medal when my team wins. The idea of camping a hill and shooting enemies without moving around seems... boring.
Anyway, any good advice on how to (or if to) utilize the Fury?

Get a different set of weapons. Preferably Tridents.

Furys aren't meant for close range encounters. Tridents and Zeuses are the best.

A fury with an ancille is a slow carnage.

+1 on the Tridents. Great fun using splash to dust reds hiding behind corners.

I have tried 3 ancile, 3 thunder and 3 zeus.
At stock level, the only viable answer is 3 zeus IMO. Zeus Fury is one of the only bots I have that can do well against higher level enemies.
3 thunder really sucks IMO. At least at level 5. You will barely hurt your enemies before dying. You're only good at close range when the enemy isn't aiming at you.
3 ancile unless you have a team guarding you. Everyone is selfish in this game. You will get left behind and you will get picked off when alone. End of story.
No tridents or trebs to try.
As for mixing in an ancile, I think firepower > ancile.

Fury is a mid-range beast e.g hovering <600m. Thunders are a waste of time....Dead City it's a lot of fun, but still a waste.
Talking of maps, the Fury is also map dependent e.g shines on Canyon, Springfield and Yama....but is my last bot out on Dead City, Moon etc.
Weapons. You really want to eventually get yourself some Zeus, or if you only have WSP (some Tridents).
You then have to level them all (expensive and time consuming). I have a Zeus Fury and it's only really starting to sing at 9/9. Before that I left it in the garage and used Carnage for mid-range (good way to level the Tridents or Zeus until you have a third)

Fury is not meant for knife fighting as it is a mid-range bot best equipped with tridents or zeus. Thunders, anciles, or zeniths are used on amusing youtube vids.
Fury shines on open maps like canyon, yamantao, springfield, etc. On maps like Moon or Dead City I prefer to open with it as people usually don't expect a fury on these maps (many skip maps they don't like). On DC I head straight to center and pop reds capping center beacon. On Powerplant, I stake out beach side. On Moon, I immediately go up the ramp and have control over 1 enemy beacon and center. Or I concentrate on the narrow corridor and take advantage of the bottle neck--splash from 3-lvl 11 tridents does a bunch of damage there.
Don't stay in the Fury for more than 3 minutes or so unless you are ridiculously ahead.

Well, I invested in a pair of Tridents. Much of tomorrow will be spent getting them up to snuff. I'll grab a third when I have the WP for it, but til then I can settle for using my center slot on a Zeus or the Ancille.
Thanks all for the kind advice.

fury is for mid / long range support. (even though triple thunder can 2 shot destroy the fujin shield XD)

Make sure you enjoy the play style of the trident fury before investing the time and silver. As powerful as it is, some folks find it slow and boring to play.

My furies are on the bench. Extra weapon slot is nice, but Carnage gets into range much quicker, and finds the 575m shooting angles quicker. Only exception is canyon, but I won't run a fury just for a single map.
Maybe the new heavy machine gun will make me like the fury, but for now, I just think Carnage does the midrange game better.

fury is for mid / long range support. (even though triple thunder can 2 shot destroy the fujin shield XD) If a Thunder Fury shot once, the damage will be equivalent to 48,912. The Fujin's shield's HP is 122,000. 48,912 x 2 ? 122,000.
