Great writing, but I kinda hate you. What hangar and level bots/weapons are you running? Fear not, that forward momentum will stall soon.

I think you are sitting in a bulldozer of a hangar right now. You mustve ran over the silver wall without noticing it. Im not questioning your skill at this game but try building a hangar from scratch and write another entry about it

As @tinthefiend noted, I've got a pretty robust hangar from the roulette, though it's not leveled all that high yet. My current operating assumption is the same as yours- that it's simply moved the banana peel back a little further for me.

I don't really understand the point of all this. Obviously if you keep pumping money into the game you will be successful. That's how all F2P games work.

Looking forward to the next piece in the series. My journey through Silver and into Gold on Android has been less an uphill battle and more like trying to swing from knotted vines in the ceiling using my feet, while blindfolded.

Not true, though. I've dropped probably $150 bucks or so into the game since I started playing 6+ months ago, and it's been a damned struggle to finally make Gold League just last week. I'd like to think that I'm not a horrific player, but clearly money isn't everything.

My guess as to why Dredd77 did so is the Doc. Maybe. But Dredd is the only player I know who runs that build.

Well written. You are absolutely spot on, with the gang rumble reference.
Your description of the Moon Map scenario is 100% accurate. It's almost laughable at the predictability of the Players.
What I have noticed with MM, is that a balance has been instituted where if you tally the Damage total, both Teams are roughly equivalent. Less the "Tankers," of course.
I oft wondered about the differences between iOS and Android and from what you describe iOS reads the better experience. If you are correct, though in that the reason for the thuggery on Android us due to a much larger Player pool, then the Custom Lobbies will be more than welcomed and we can enjoy an even better game.
I'm currently in Silver-III, working up to Silver-II so, if you see me, I remind you: "Not in the face."
Good hunting ..

Mentioned some time ago there is a push up from the lower level players in Android. It's relatively easy in the low end of the pool to play and get into Android Bronze. With your experience in the game I expected nothing less from you. I myself am in Gold 3 and really don't think my hanger warrants it. I was facing the same level of competition last month in Silver 2 but now it seems shifted up. My prediction is that you will make Silver 1 or Gold 3 on this run of yours.

The league points currently are set up to push you out of Bronze and into silver. Silver is where you first start getting equal punishment for losses as rewards for wins.

I am attributing this shift to the event. The event tasks I am assuming is forcing more players to play "correctly" to complete the missions hence the upward tick of these players.

I doubt it will ever be seen but I suggested to War Robots a weekend event where iOS players and Android players partake in a test-server type field where pilots of the different formats meet, battle and War Robots keeps a tally of the victories. After the event, pilots of the winning format receive a small reward and more importantly, bragging rights.
Me? I dont feel like I personally have anything to prove but see the opportunity for a bit of fun... Im sure others will take it too seriously and all because its common in the War Robots comminity for the few to ruin it for the many but it doesnt have to be like that.
After all, iOS and Android users share the test-server...

This brings up something that I am not sure if it is happening... but... I'd like y'all's take on it. Gold/Silver is where the Maxed Hangar Tankers land so very often, too... both going up and going down. Lately, anyway. The amount of Max hangars with what look like non-tanking stats that I have seen in Gold 2 and 3, lately, makes little sense unless they are on their way back up. I think I know why... but it is just a theory at the moment. I think, since the MM was tightened so that Silver and Gold players only play players of the same leagues now, that it is an ideal place for soft tankers who don't leave (and are therefore not sent to LQ) to land in and rack up Au/Ag, then float back down, then play hard for a bit to climb and collect, then drop, etc. It's the only thing that makes sense to me; maxed hangar with 1.2 million max dmg, and 500k+ average damage, in Gold 1, 2, and 3 ( Gold players play opponents from all 3 tiers of Gold, but nothing outside of it). Not every game, but more and more often. And then the same type of stats in other games with 1/1 light bots, dropping down. From what I hear, Gold 1 isn't as bad... but I have seen a lot of Gold 3 and 2, and the past week has seen a large shift in the make up of the players. In Diamond and up, the player base is smaller, so the MM reaches into other leagues. The competition here is higher and has plenty of skilled pilots, too. There are some skilled players in Silver and Gold, too... but then you add the phenomenon you mentioned to the equation: Since the Bronze league is pushing folks into Silver quickly, and the peeps that were already in Silver are, in turn, pushed into Gold, many times prematurely, as it stood before the change, the Tanker Sharks in the silver tinged and golden hued waters, have feasts awaiting them. 6/6 - 8/8 leveled hangars can have uber skilled pilots that surprise me in their skill and results, but can also have many players that couldn't make a sound tactical decision if they were given a 1 on 1 lesson by a crack USMC fireteam. An 11 or 12 average weapon/bot level player, that knows how to play well, can rack up some very impressive scores/rewards with only a small chance of encountering tough players if they are in Silver and Gold, and they don't have to be sent to the land of insanity. In fact, if they fall to Silver 3, and keep racking up till the top of Gold 2... $ $ Am I the only one encountering this? Weapon level caps per league?... Please?!? Pretty please?!?

But I am fairly confident that when they are both running at the same time, it is like the Live Server in that they are platform specific... Unless you have heard otherwise?

Good read as always. Nice to know that Android users have similar problems at low levels.
You haven't mentioned how bad tanking is in Android though. Does it not occur as much there?

-_- Ancilot in Silver III? Dooooood. That's the kind of players that really really piss others off. Well atleast me. It's like bringing a gun into a fistfight. At Silver III most are still into molots. But well, I guess I am seeing a lot of Anciturds and Galadots. Probably due to event?
Never thought I'd miss Arty Nattys, even if just to break the britbot monotony.

How much free time do you think I have? I don't really understand the point of all this. Obviously if you keep pumping money into the game you will be successful. That's how all F2P games work. Happy to help clarify for you. Just as I do with iOS, I take surveys of player data from different time periods/leagues for the "By the Numbers" series. I then write about game experiences in "Battle Stories," as well as anything else that comes to mind. Whether I'm running all 12/12 Ancilots or 1/1 Destriers might be important if I was writing a "look what I can do" post, but that's never been what the blog's about. Rather, given the volume of concern about what's going on in Android, I've taken the opportunity to use an Android account to rise through the ranks and collect sample data. The idea of resources/result is not the focus, nor has it been, but it's the easy thing to fixate on with such a controvertial subject matter. As a veteran Gepard Diary reader I know you know all this already, but I appreciate the softball question for those who might be new to the Forum.

My ticket is one-way only. Also, don't know it it's any better, but my Lance is of the Thundorkan variety. I have an Ancile, but I just don't care for it on the Lance.
