Is there a chart or guide somewhere that shows how much damage the Thunder will do at various ranges? I know that it has very little effect above 400m or so.

I don't know for sure, but it feels inverse log and if so, it should be something like this:

yeah had someone try telling me that someone standing on a ridge blasting confetti in the air from 500M as bots ran around capturing beacons was a good thing. Called me silly names and everything, yes someone from the board. I was like, "you can literally see the confetti in the air" doing no damage at all and the guy thought I was a moron because the wiki actually says it has 500m range.....however article actually clarifies it's pretty much useless after 200 meters unless opponent is going to stand still for 8 1/2 minutes while you slowly erode their armor down to 0. The 500m thing is good for taking down anciles. Damage is not done at 500m due to spread, but since ancile covers a relatively huge area, it catches all the buckshots and gets depleted fast. Other than that, only bots with slivers of HP left can be taken down by a good level thunder at 500m. It's useless after 300m.

When you are talking about moving and blasting, your right, I'm talking about standing on a ridge, unmoving, just blowing confetti into the air like it's a party, watching those anciles move around from beacon to beacon...... Standing still is suicide no matter what weapon one uses.xd I bet the person using thunders while not moving can't use other weapons as well.

At 500m shoot trident or pins...they'll do the work. But get near the wrong side of the Thunder and it'll be made For you its serenade...

Think of it for what it really is, a shotgun. Don't even bother shooting form over 300M, too much spread. It's best to get as close as possible and hit em with the 5 shot blast

Please think of it like a real shot gun. If you try to hit a squirrel with it, most of the pellets will miss. Now if you aim for the barn door, you will hit it. Does that make sense?

Is there an echo in here ? Lol Yes, but not everyone has the same thoughts. When you hear shotgun, maybe they think, ok, the bullets will spread. A video game shot gun can behave like this. Now a real shot gun, you can get closer and all the bullets will hit. Now a video game shot gun, let's say it can hit 50% of pellets at 50 feet. But a real shot gun, it depends on what you're hitting. A real shot gun, maybe you hit all of it if you're aiming for a door. If you have a rabbit in your sights, then maybe you hit like 5%. I'm not sure, but maybe the Op thinks this is a video game shotgun and it doesn't obey the law of physics. I know in this game, many do not realize physics is used. When you hear stuff like, i have a shield, how come it doesn't protect me from plasma?. Or they can't figure out how to use the 3 shields of a Lancelot.

Thunders do cause damage at distance. In a Thunder Fury on Shenzen I spotted a quarter health Stalker at 300m that just went into stealth mode but I fired at it anyways and popped it after 3 or 4 shots.
It would be nice to get an actual calibration though. In a couple months when game modes come and squads can choose opponents we can actually measure this.

No, I understand that it works like a real world shotgun. Hence, the question about the spread and damage at distance. I just thought someone might've created a page for it somewhere. Dare to dream.
