Is the Thunder God quad「grape」al robot worth the workshop points? I am really liking the Sentry Mode and the fact that it can block incoming fire with the shield and save my life.

Carnage > Rhino > Fujin > Raijin.
Taran > Magnum > Trident > Trebuchet > Hydra

When it sits in bastion mode it can be a real target for fire...see a Trident Fury and everyone goes mental to kill it. I have one and like the bastion mode... sniping on some maps can be fun...however I don't use it... depends on your style of play I suppose.

Carnage > Rhino > Fujin > Raijin. Taran > Magnum > Trident > Trebuchet > Hydra ditto except I would value the hydra above the treb.

Y'all can value trebs wherever you want on a wsp weapon scale. Doesn't change the fact that they can evaporate 25-50% plus of your health from a kilometer away. Not exactly useless ?

Well, my play style is either a brawler with my Leo, ambusher with Griff, or a long range harrasser with my triple Gekko Patton.
I was refferring to Fujin and not Raijin though...

I think you've confused people... How can the Fujin with 3-medium hardpoints be the "Thunder God"...? Did you mean the Raijin, which has 2 heavy hardpoints, so can have two Thunders...?

Yeah, Fujin is actually the "Wind God" I love mine with Tarans in Diamond league. Don't know how he will hold up in higher leagues, but for now he works really well in a number of situations. You need to understand when to go into sentry mode and when to move and hide though. I've taken out equal and even higher level Lancilots with my Fujin being 9/9/9. Works great against Carnage/Thunder as well.

I honestly go for them first in my Plasmahad. That's why my hydra version is just for poops and giggles

Not exactly useless ? you are not wrong, they are great for the kill shot at range. My level 11 Griff was torn apart by 2 fury treb war machines... within 30 seconds of the game starting...

I have one, but just to put hydras on. I also have 35k WSP right now with nothing else to buy, so I can waste some on a toy. OP can too, later... but I don't recommend it now.

Both Treb and Hydra can be extremely effective. Don't know which one I hate more. All hinges of course on whether the red teammates will protect the shooter, if you can get close then it's easy meat. The thing that Hydras have going for them is that it is very hard to hide from a hydra. Low DPS of course, but you'll certainly notice if a high level Hydra chucker hits you twice, robbing you of 80k health (Hydra Fujin or Hydra Spiral Griffin).
