Hi guys!
Need advice. In my hangar I got only one long range bot - Natasha Tridents+Pins. I do fine damage with it.
I'm considering now to buy Carnage and switch with Natasha (move the Tridents). Can't decide if it's a good idea, since I'll actually go down in firepower (no Pins), but gain mobility and protection.
What do you think?

Gives you a chance to find new angles and be more useful. Plus, there's a whole world of beacons out there you'll have a chance to explore. -Amid

I use both Tasha and Carny. I've tried Carny with Tri and was a bit disappointed. Later I put Tridents with Molots on Tasha and Carny got Zeuses. Much better mix imo.

The slow 「bum-bum」-Natasha always detracted. The speed of the Carnage with my Tridents won out. Also I demand too much out of my Thunder-Carnage and it would get smoked too easy. It really does come down to player preference IMHO.

A lesson of humility for me. I use it a lot and Tridents mixed with Molots on that fat beast bring trolling factor surpassed only by Hydras...ppl get annoyed quickly, go for a chase and it takes some 3 bots to take me down usually, as most reds go on a rampage attack exposing the flanks to other blues.

This all comes to personal preference. For me, I like the Trident Pin Natasha more than the Trident Carnage because I feel that damage is more important than mobility when playing was a midrange support.

I thought the same but it's not the low speed that fails Natasha but the fact that enemy can decide to approach your way stubbornly and you got nothing to do than to wait for your destruction.

Natasha is great for Springfield. Had a match where there were two Natashas camping by beacon C, and they killed 4 of us and won the match even though 4 of the beacons were blue. I loved it.
Edit: I'm not sure which weapons they were using, but I think it was the one that shoots out the giant fireballs and takes away a whole lot of your health (on my level 6 bots).

I have never played a Tridents/Pin Nats, but I have a Tridents Carnage. Carnage with rush, you probably can get into good position to fire your Tridents more often, this may make up the damage of 2 Pin (just guess). You can even out run Orkan, Galahad, Gareth with rush. You can stay at 600m doing damage. You have energy shield that will regenerate. You only need to upgrade 2 weapons.
ALL OF THIS COME WITH THE COST OF 2 PIN. Worth it or not depends on your play style.
If you don't like the Trident Carnage, you may turn it into Thunder or Zeus Carnage.

That's why you play it smart and watch one beacon at a time. You should always be able to take out your enemy charging your position except for a Ancile Lancelot.

Alternatively, you could try a TriPin Leo. It's got a bit more sustained firepower and a lot more health, with some speed to help keep targets in range. The only real advantage Carndent has is speed and not having mixed ranges like TriPins.

Replace your Natasha with carnage, natasha are slow.

No-one has even mentioned that the Carnage also has an energy shield. Go Carnage.

I play a desperately slowly Natasha... and no regrets. I have a rogatka for speed requiring tasks, and tasha for midrange anti-brit-bots defense. 2 trident, at my level (level 7/8), require several rounds to kill a robot. The humble aid of pins or molots shortens the number of rounds it takes to kill an enemy. Thats really crucial, since if takes you longer the enemy gets closer and then bad things happen This is not about which robot is best, tasha or carnage, you said that "In my hangar I got only one long range bot", so specifically for mid/long range, I'd choose natasha.

My taste:
TriPin Natasha:Best alternative to a TT fury.
DZ Carnage:flank the map and get some delicious damage numbers.Flanking would help to get around shield bots.
I currently run my dual thunder carnage as I love strafing a crippling leos, griff, and some badly piloted brit bots(although I'm terrible at piloting them myself).I'm running my TriPin Natasha for now as my MRS.

My vote goes for the Carnage. I own a tridents one and love it as much as I love me thunders one.

With Carnage (I deploy Zarnage) you can also Knife Fighting to a certain degree. It's kind of a pek-a-boo style but you would be surprise on how many griffins I killed just dancing around cover. Rush can help you to double team flanking britbots

So I Just started playing this game maybe 5-7 days now, so I've got a lot to learn but anyway my question is I have my natasha equipped with a noricum, and kang dae for long range targets, then a thunder and pinata for up close. Is this a bad idea on my part? I was thinking being able to target anyone made me more well rounded offensively and defensively am I wrong? Is it a situation where I'm leaving myself to little firepower to do either long distance or up close well? Any way thanks for any responses and your perspective:-)
(Sorry just occurred to me that I'm thread jacking... sorry to the op, got caught up in the discussion and all, anyway i'll create my own threads in the future when I want to ask a question.)

I'm using a Natasha today with two Thunders and two Gekkos... and in one Shenzhen battle, I got 3 kills and only used one bot (my Natasha) in a 2m 51s battle.

So your similarly setup to what I've got then, 2 long range and 2 up close. It seems to work well for me to, but thought I'd check with someone thay had more experience then me. For all I know it may work but out may also be limiting the kills I could be getting if it was setup one way or the other. Thanks for the reply ;-) I'm really starting to like this game! Now if only I could get a clan to accept me...:-(

A skilled thunder carnage pilot will eat you up easily Had a match where I killed 6 bots in one thunder carnage 2 thunder mag natashas 2 thunder mag leo 2 PDB griffs Cocky noobs thinking they can take me down that easily!

I would go for the Carnage and retire the Natasha. Maybe you should upgrade the Carnage first before you switch, to get max mobility.

I honestly really like them both. I would give a very slight edge to the Natasha, after much consideration. Yeah, she's slow as molasses, but the extra damage output from Pins or Gekkos or Molots does noticeably finish off a Red more quickly.
