So this is what would you do "Fury Road" style.
My hangar:
8/9 RDB (this was going to be replaced by the Fury) 10/9 Aphid/Orkan Rhino 10/10 Ancilot 10/10 DB 10/10 Plasmahad
I have 48K WSP and 110M Ag. I play in Diamond 3 but leagues are stupid so I don't care where I end up.
So I finally sc「grape」 another 5K Au together and already have 2 level 8 tridents (no Zeuss or Trebs) and 2 level 8 thunders (carnage/Lance anybody?). I was a really good boy not messing with the chests and got the gold for a Fury! (YEAH!) and then I looked at the Champions League and the meta and I'm like why?
I am thinking to just scrap my RDB and get a second lance. The lance would bet the Rhino's Orkans and a Thunder and I would convert the Rhino to full plasma (I have enough Taran/Mag leveled plasma laying around too).
My rationale is that Ancilot + the buffed carnage shield ruined mid-range splash. Lancelot has already been nerfed and with the threat of the dash bot I'm not sure Fury/Natasha will have much of a meta spot for a long while. So a plasma Rhino is the king of crossing long distances and deucing on trebs and zeuss setups. It's also not bad for capping beacons or supporting an onslaught in the flanking role.
The only thing that is keeping me interested in Fury is the heavy machine gun idea, which I imagine will more rapidly decrease ancile shields and I imagine will shred pests like stalkers if then get in close. I also like Machine Guns but they keep sucking which frustrates me because I want to use them really bad.
So what would you do? My next 5k Ag will probably be in about 3-4 months.

Spend your Au on spinning the wheel. After this contest, i bet there will be lots of Butches terrorizing everyone.

as of right now I feel the TT Fury is still a very viable bot in the upper tiers. That could change easily with the release of new bots though. But, My gut says the TT fury may get diminished, but never go away..Nothing says "fire truck your couch" like 50 meters of splash damage from a triple salvo of Tridents..

Ok this is a tough question. Let's skip the math: both TT fury and Orkan/Thunder Lance are great bots, period.
I bought a TT fury months ago. Now I am waiting to get the 7.400 gold I need to ditch it and get another O/T Lance. Not because the fury is bad, it is an excellent bot, because it doesn't fit my PLAYSTYLE. I find it too passive, waiting for things to happen rather than making them happen.
Have you ever used a trident/pin Nat? Did you like how it behaved? If not... would you give it a try before buying one thing or another?
Don't let figures, damage outputs and so on, fool you like they did to me. Think what would be most fun and go for that.
My five cents...

My five cents... Arakos' daughter THIS^^^ SOOOO much this^ jazzykat: I can't keep my Fury in my hangar for more than a couple of games. Can't stand it. Lance is good... and versatile for a heavy. I like Thundorkan and Taran Zeus best... Tarancilot is a pretty distant 3rd. BUT... if the TS is any indication... your Heavy MG fetish can be stoked by putting it and Molot Mk2s on the Lance and sitting back or filling a semi-close midrange support role. I had a BLAST with that build on the TS. I hate Molots but love Puns... so for a build that uses them to make me excited, it has to be in-the-pocket-like-a-pocket-rocket. I would definitely follow the advice of 'lil Miss Arakos in that quote above, and try the Natty Trident variant if you are not sure. It IS close in behavior to the Fury. IMO, Carny is the best MR bot that uses heavy slots until you reach the super high leagues. Maybe even then, too. Plus Thunder Carn is still a mad beast that can rack up many kills and beacons all at once. But, that said, I have been using RDB Griff a lot more recently and am digging it more than I did in the past. So, you may be better off hoarding that gold or getting that 2nd Lance if you like it. Try the Natty, or sign up for the Test Server and try the Fury with the heavy weapons of your choice b4 you decide, is my main advice. FWIW. Good luck!

I would highly recommend grabbing a Carnage! They're extremely fun to run.... literally run, around in. Takes a little bit of patience and reserve at times and then an extremely aggressive attack in other situations. (Thunder Carnage anyways)
Do you need any more Orkans or something you can use some Ag on?

I am the guy who runs across the map to attack furies, so perhaps what I HAVE TO DO is not so important. Besides a Thunder/Orkan Lance is an absolute terror at the center beacon. The Molot/Heavy MG sounds kinda goofy as a set-up on a Lance but with the fact that it has a front shield and SOO much HP I imagine it makes it painfully frustrating to kill if it stays out of 350m range. It would definitley be able to hang in the open a bit and get fire to an area as necessary whereas, once a fury/natasha hangs in range of opposing weapons it becomes a nice big pile of silver.
@tricky: Do you see any possibility for a 3 Heavy MG Fury, or does the fact that it needs to stay out in the open too long to keep sustained fire on a target make that less feasible?

Maybe a Zeuss would be cool. I see a lot of thunder/carnages and it is about 50/50 who kills who. If I have plasma they are usually toast but if I have rockets I'm the vicitim.

I think at this point a Fury is a 'nice to have', not an essential. Even if you like that style, after the Natasha buffs the only difference between the two is a small matter of hardpoints.

A Fury is not that necessary with the buff the the Ancile, but it is still the best midranger and you will need it during squad battles to take out unsuspecting Galahads.

Definitely a possibility... no doubt. 3 of those bad boys will do a good bit of damage... and having 3 of them could allow you to alternate the firing and keep a steady stream of bullets for suppressing fire. Fury is just so slow for me... that bothers me more than needing to stand out in the open... BUT... the positions of the Weapon slots are such that there are many places that you can situate behind with just your guns poking out. Just saying. If you want to see some very non-exciting gameplay of the Natty with 2 Heavy MGs and 2 Molot Mk1s, then watch this video. Speed of the Fury and general damage done should be similar. Warning... Reds ditched (Even on TS! LMAO) so the action is very slow except for the suicidal center beacon charge I did at the beginning. Heavy MG play happens about... 2:50 (note, this is the TS with the wonky aiming... if you held your torso straight but moved the direction of your legs, the guns would follow. You will see it happen a few times... I had to come to a complete stop to be able to shoot straight)

My Trident Fury spends most games on the bench in my Diamond I bubble. 10/10 levels, and I face plenty of top tier reds each night. The addition of the moon map, and the rise of more and more ancilots, makes the trident fury a blank slot in maybe 2/3's of my games, whereas I can always make an extra DB or Thunder Carnage do some work regardless of map size. My advice is to wait on the Fury, but if you really want it, do what makes you happy.

My advice...keep your hangar as is. Stop buying wsp and save your silver for upgrades. Keep your gold. Or open some 1000gold chests. I did with 2000 ended up with 2 galahads a doc and 3300gold. Plus I got to open 2 epic chests

Plus I got to open 2 epic chests That's cool but I don't want most of the items anymore. I want to create a single TT hangar and then will concern myself with weird/fun stuff. Maybe by the end of the event I'll have changed my mind.

The noise alone can not justify 5000Au to have 3 ripping at once although almost...

Yeah it wasn't a drastic game changer... I don't think 3 MGs would make me run a Fury again... but... That Lance was fun! Mobility increase plus a bit more survivalbility due to the shield meant I could use it at much closer ranges... safely. I played it on Yam, as well, and it was a FUN! LOL I had quite a few sub 500m kills with it and was knocking Anciles down left and right. That one ancile towards the end of that vid above was a Fujin's... notice how little good the MGs did? Almost a full magazine of all 4 weapons and it was barely 1/2 drained! (Puns and Thus are the best Fujin Ancile killers... IMO.)
Anyway... yeah I think as cool as it is... it will have better playability on the Lance/Leo/Carnage and even Natty builds. I kind of want to try it on the Lance with Puns and just be an anti-ancilot bot on next TS if it is still offered and I am able to get on.

Fury zeus will always be good. Tridents, probably not. But 3 zeus is awesome.

The trident fury used to be a staple in my hanger but now I only use it 20% of the time. First, the fury is very good on certain maps, but since Pix started punishing you for skipping maps, many people including myself have opted for a power runner/knife fighting hangar. Second, the ancile have neutralized its effectiveness. Sure you can still use it to take out an ancile in a salvo so your teammates can gang up on it, but unless you're in a clan you hope they do. Otherwise, you're providing a service but not getting rewarded for it (no damage points on shields). Third, engagements are faster now since Pix changed spawn points, which gives the slow fury less time to get into position. When it does, someone's already close by ready to take you out on maps like Shenzhen. Last, the addition of the moon map has added another map not suited for mid range bots like the Fury--I mean, you might as well slap 3 thunders (or Zeus) on it. So while the trident fury is the best mid range, it's slowly becoming obsolete--despite its 5K Au pricetag.

Jazzy... Just for S&Gs, I uploaded the first run I did with the Lance with Heavy MG and Molot Mk 2s... Not the one I remembered enjoying a lot but still shows how it runs. I ended up staying in it the whole match... mainly bc I was testing it, but also bc it looked like we were doing well. Not the most action packed match either, but was better than the Yam with the Natty lol. LOL I ended up capping the 2 farthest from each other beacons in this thing... while keeping fire, as much as possible, on the Reds.
A LOT of places in this one you can see the leg aiming issue... I figured out what was happening in this match. I even changed the sensitivity during the match to see if that was it lol!
I think, on the whole... I would prefer to run this over a Fury or Natty with Heavy MGs.

Moon map is not good for Fury. You can stand up on the hill and hit a few guys on the other side. That's a good bet. Also, standing on the ramp, and you get few good firing lanes. Standing behind center beacon, you can push bots back too. Even though it's an open map, it's like there's nothing to hit sometimes.
