writing the scripts and then editing to match the video is the most time consuming part of making these videos, on some occasions I need to add padding to paragraphs to have them sync with the action, and vice versa. At the moment I'm averaging just under 3000 words per script. I find it's more difficult to maintain an engaging intonation when there is less to say however, the slower speech adds to a more relaxed feeling (in my opinion, maybe it's just me overanalysing myself) which is fine to an extent but I also want the viewer to be in a state of anticipation for the next events to occur and I worry the relaxed tone may counteract this. Time will tell. this is why I suggested pausing the video when you think there is more to say than the allocated time frame allows during gameplay. For example in a heated ingagement you can pause and go through your thought process as an experienced player of how you are turning the battle in your favour. The relaxed tone is better IMO, as players have more time to process the information you are passing on. Though some of the information may be obvious to veteran players, it is definitely worth listening to if players don't take these actions or make these judgements in battle themselves. Keep it up

ZhøuSure, I can do. I'm in Asia though so lag incompatibility would likely be an issue should we try and play together. ShutUpAndSmokeMyWeedI think I can get an idea of what you mean. I'll keep the thought in my head and see if it's something that can be fleshed out. The only thing that comes to mind initially is a spoof wildlife style documentary with the bots being given their own 'personalities' so to speak. But there are many types of documentary, so if I feel something matches or comes together then I could try. No promises though ;-) B30RLL I can do that if you wish. When making the videos I didn't feel this information was particularly relevant to the format as it focuses on tactics and range and using what tools you have as opposed to power. But if it's something that is useful to you, then no problem at all.

acethunder That's exactly what I had in mind as well. I believe that sort of content would be massively successful, although I imagine it'd be quite challenging to create. Regardless of what you come up with, I'm sure it'll be brilliant

acethunder agree bot stats not integral info, but think it could give some context to viewers. For example saw you backpedalling to avoid those rockets (very impressive!) but imagine that's not as effective at lower bot levels. Of course you are the director so up to you, and I will enjoy your videos regardless. Keep up the good work!

You can backpedal the majority of Orkan missiles in a Griffin at 250m+ and that only goes 35 km/h . captions will help with small things like this.

B30RLL Actually you make a very valid point regarding the bot speed and evasive maneuver capabilities being dependant on level. I didn't think of that. You've convinced me. Thank you!

Just watched the 2nd video - awesomesauce as usual! Think it's good that you explain your though process and give commentary on what went well and what was bad, great chance for viewers to learn from your succes as well as your mistakes. A minor suggestion is perhaps you can show us what level bots and weaps? Don't have to say it in script, if possible, maybe just overlay it in text when you drop in with with subject bot. Think you would do very well in clan squads. Don't think those randoms (like that hydra/mag/molot galahad? LOL) fully appreciate all the work and sacrifice that you put into those battles! This is something I appreciate from Stew Pendous's video. Having this info gives you an idea how you should be playing it at a particular level, as hp and speed varies between levels.

Time will tell. My clan is very inactive, only 7 members. I joined them a little while ago because one of them stuck around with me in a game and seemed to be trying to work together, which impressed me, so I asked to join, but they barely speak English! I've no special attachment though. In that case you should really join the wiki clan. Yes... we love a talent like u in the clan. PM me and we can talk more. ?

Sub'd your youtube channel. As a couple have suggested, adding a overlay of each bot level + weapon levels - as they drop in the map. Search for Pheonix's youtube videos, he does something similar. Love your work! keep it up You might be onto something if you can pull off wildlife "documentary" style videos. Name it... Walking War Robots Discovery Channel What other bots|topics are you thinking of doing next?

I think if you do as mentioned earlier and reduce the words you need to say then you will be more in time with the video making it seem more professional. You said that you want to keep the audience in anticipation of what is to happen next, however I think with your voice and the you have done the videos it would be better if you aimed to make your videos more informative then exciting (I'm not saying make it boring though). Since you seem to know how to use these britbots really well I would like to ask you whether you like the Gareth or Galahad better. I can afford the Gareth now and am about 900 gold of the Galahad. It would replace my plasma rhino which is usually used last to help get beacons to make sure we win or finish off enemies.
Great video keep it up! What makes your videos stand out is the documentary style and how informative it is, so try and focus on those.

Love your work! keep it up You might be onto something if you can pull off wildlife "documentary" style videos. Name it... Walking War Robots Discovery Channel What other bots|topics are you thinking of doing next? Thank you, B30RLL convinced me as such. I will overlay the bot level and weapons from now on. If I do do a documentary style thing it will take a while due to my recording and editing process being very long winded. Every minute of footage captured takes around 10 minutes to process, that's not including the time to convert the file into a usable format on my iPad and then uploading/downloading and editing blah blah blah, I won't bore you with the details. Other topics I have in mind are another proposal for a gameplay feature, suggestions for basic quality of life fixes ad streamlining for the UI/menu, and of course a continuation of the commentary series. But I may not only stick to a tactician theme, for example I'm thinking of smart aggression and sacrifice/teammate protection for the heavier bot users. Noreceipts400I prefer the Gareth personally due to its speed. The Galahad is a close second due to its shield durability and how it causes enemies to retreat. It really is down to how you prefer to play the game or want to play the game, so I can't recommend one over the other. What I can say is that I feel the higher speed + shield of the Gareth allows for more overall potential from the player, but you really have pay attention to everything around you and consider all your actions which can be mentally taxing after a while, and very annoying when it all goes wrong.

I have also sub'd your chanel. What level are your bots and weapons? Why those bots and levels? Any changes you are goibg to make to not setups. Maybe a vid on those questions and how you plan to extend your hanger and next bot set up and purpose.
You are doing great

Maybe a vid on those questions and how you plan to extend your hanger and next bot set up and purpose. You are doing great Thank you and noted. I'll look to answer some of these in video 3. But I can answer most of those in a general way now by saying I'm just randomly levelling things up as I have the ability to. In the past I would often get restless with a particular standard setup and then try niche setups and end up spending a lot of silver and spare gold on levelling them, so I've been stuck in a limbo for a while. I'm more focused now though

I don't have a shielded bot for treb fury, this is why I walk behind my team mates.
Is Gareth or Galahad a better low gold purchase? I'm thinking to get one or the other when I have my last slot.

More health, stronger shield and more firepower, with the tradeoff of travelling 10km/h slower. much more capable of taking on bots 1-on-1, and can take out any knife fighter in the game face-to-face if piloted carefully.

Yes if you're looking to place yourself more in the thick of the action and be a more direct support/attack bot, the Galahad for sure. Just keep an eye out for Tulumbas and Trident users especially, as they are your biggest weakness when using the Gareth or Galahad.

And props for the very effective shield use. I have 2 Galahad and 1 Gareth. I have not spent much time in them yet, as they (and the rest of the hanger) are leveling up in the back ground. But I look forward to practicing with them.
Because I am in a remote area and have limited data,I don't watch videos often. Yours are the first War Robots videos I've watched. Inspiring.

acethunder just watched your latest upload on the sniper mode suggestion. I don't use anything beyond 500m so no opinion on sniping but I did notice you making awesome use of the parking pole (watch tower maybe?) at end of the bridge in canyon! Guess it was a silent tutorial that you sneaked in LOL. Love those little gems in the game. Great stuff!

Yes, that would have to be considered if needed. My concern is pretty much with the videos though as they're the main indentifier of who you are so things like a logo or banner are superfluous to me. But I know that they help with identifying the person for the viewer psychology etc etc, so...I'll get around to it...sometime
