I've heard and read too many horror stories about 3rd party vendors. I will only purchase in-house.

Dredd, you're on fire these days !
Not totally related, but I'd definitely have considered putting a bit of money if that would get more gold.
But getting 1'000 gold for 10$, I find that a bit light. It means if you want a good robot, it can cost 25$, or even more.
But then again, some people just put that money, so I guess Pix is doing alright. That's just a bit too much for me though.

In the game, at present, buying gold is foolhardy.
Current tier is too difficult. You buy gold for better bots, weapons or speeding upgrades.
In the short term you start advancing again. However, long term, you'll arrive back at the problems that made you buy in the first place. So, buy more gold...
Eventually, that gold is going to get you to the top tier, but at the cost of shortening the games appeal to you, and leading you back to where you were when you first started buying.

Never even knew about the third party deal. I do think we should be able to give, trade, bots, currency, and weapons inside the game. These events for some of us result in extra junk (stuff, whatever). Yea I can sell it, or I could give it to some of my younger clan mates that need gear.

Buying gold is a form of supporting the developers. You don't need to do it to play the game competitively. Doing it via some third party seems too difficult. Never even knew about the third party deal. I do think we should be able to give, trade, bots, currency, and weapons inside the game. These events for some of us result in extra junk (stuff, whatever). Yea I can sell it, or I could give it to some of my younger clan mates that need gear. Would be nice, if used for good. But unfortunately, if anything can be exploited, there will be players, who will do so. Create few accounts, collect free gold (buying first bot/weapon, renaming,...), use one of them to create clan, choose the main one and use the rest to supply it. There already is one way in this game to have maxed hangar moments after reaching level 20. Just throw enough money at it. No need to invent a free alternative.

If one worries about everything, and if/how it could be exploited, then nothing would ever happen or move forward. Then the few ruin it for the many. Minority rules. We live by the lowest common denominator.

Interesting. I didn't know this was a thing. Now I do. Won't be looking into it further, smells funny. But interesting, nonetheless. Thanks for the read! ?

Being able to sell/trade bots and weapons with other player will stuff up the game big time as current top tier players will easily earn more resource and buy/upgrade more easily and say give all those upgraded bots to his secondary account (which might be a level one account) and then have fun trashing other young players. This will encourage tanking to another level. Because you can "drop down" any time you want and you don't even need to "work your way up" anymore.
Just imagine ADRIANNNNNNN has a baby account with all his level 12 bots and weapons simply transferred over. Just for fun, he probably can have 5 max geared baby accounts with the amount of bots/weapons he has right now.
I hope we will never see this "feature" in this game.

No "twink" accounts, please.

I view purchasing gold from these vendors as cheating and stealing. As someone who has worked in the tech industry and who has aspirations as a software engineer, I'm troubled by the thought of people profiting unjustly from the property and work of others by gaming the system. Refunders are committing fraud, and the vendors who use exploits in games to generate the coins or gold or what have you are also thieves in my opinion. I think some people try to justify purchasing "third party" game currency by telling themselves that these people somehow gain it and deposit it legitimately, which is simply ridiculous. I guarantee they are not only violating the TWO, but in almost every case (every one that I am aware of), committing a crime.
