Hey, if you really want to go get the 'sockpuppet', I'd suggest you PM him on the discord and ask him to make an account here. Then we can track the IP Address to see where he is.

In today's piece we look at seven of the Pixonic conspiracies in the current Event. The truth is out there, folks. I spent 2000 au for a Galahad and a Gepard and a total of 1,000,000 ag. I got my au's worth and I spent 1500 on 10 au chests which are useless and then 500 on 100 au chest and got Galahad and then Gepard the next morning.

I could agree (more or less) with everything except the part about not being cynical toward the gambling chests. People who blindly trust will get what's coming to them. My expectations are based solely on previous chests pulls and those obivlouly were a different deal. While I don't doubt some people have had good runs no one should be surprised others who didn't to voice it. Creating an expectation only breeds bitter disappointment after a person is betrayed. Gambling when money is involved will always be a crappy deal and a sign of poor game design. In this event someone who has nothing could gamble $50 and theoretically tear through the lower leagues like Godzilla. I'm in the mid to mid-rising slog with $20 invested, only need gold for verynspecific things at this point. Throwing away any more on a limited mobile game when that same cash could buy from a vast market of console or PC games with far higher quality would be crazy.
People should be cynical of unknowns. Keeping an open mind is important too. Mostly it's about managing expectations, when there's a lack of information just assume the worst and one cannot be scammed.

Watch out for chem-trails, folks. Avoid line of sight with grassy knolls, too. I won a second Butch (for zenits. OH YEAH) from a 100 gold box. I'm happy enough with the event. I don't need another Rogatka. (Also, the paintjob is gruesome) If I'm lucky, I'll get far enough to get the Stalker. Don't need or want one particularly. But I do like collecting stuff I don't have. So that'll be cool. If I don't make it that far? Oh well. I'll shell out wsp eventually. My take is it's mostly not an outright scam. If someone has concerns, they're welcome to not participate in the event any more than they want. Nobody's got a Makarov to anyone's head makin' them spin the Wheel of Misfortune. Christ. Anyways... Thanks for the good read, Dredd77. I always look forward to finding a new Gep Diary. Generally the highpoint of my less frequent forum visits.

I want to throw something in about the "winners marque"
I am someone who has been working in tech for almost 20 years, and writing code for "fun" almost as long (yes I was a wee lad when I started writing code).
Displaying data in real time can be expensive, not only on server resources but on the client side as well, never mind the man hours to build it and maintain it. There is no reason from a tech perspective to make the marque real time at all!
Is marque adding any value to your game play, or to the event? If the answer is no (the answer is no), then your not going to spend the tech resources to build it, and the infrastructure to support it. If I were to venture to guess (and I could go look but I have tasks to complete) I would say that the winners list is just some giant JSON file sitting on a server using bog standard http to update --- cheap (on server resources), easy (http libraries as far as the eye can see), catchable (built in), CDN-able and stupefyingly simple to generate and deliver!

To be quite frank that would probably NOT be very telling... Without going into why I know, or how I know, realize that if your going to do this (and doubly so for an international game) then your going to use an outside firm, who hires native english speakers and gives them a guide to do their thing. You realize what you can hire teens for if your willing to pay them in bitcoin? They are fairly effective given a guideline, and they would be coming off of mom's DSL/Cable. Fun fact: I know of at least one person who hustled this way and when they cashed out their hourly was well over $100 an hour due to BTC price inflation

And if they would, they probably wouldn't be hiring someone off the internet; the'd be hiring someone that they know personally. If the IP is tracked and it is found to be in Russia, voila, and there is the sockpuppet.

"I highly doubt that Pixonic will go to the extent of hiring teens to act like a 'Pixonic Spy'" <<< this is spot on. Pix would hire another company that already has a roster of workers to go out and do the job, and the tools to monitor what they do and measure the impact of it (where possible).

There is an astronomically small chance you can tug a Butch from a 100 Au box.

No joke, The Doctor Is Out. That's what I got my first Butch out of last event, as well. Born lucky, I guess.

If it were possible and the incentive good enough, I wouldn't mind parting with one. Alas. I do, however, hope you win a Boootch for those trebuchets. Only platform trebs truly shine on. Literally and figuratively.

Literally and figuratively. I dunno, not being a jerk, but The Doctor Is Out is on Android. I would just presume he not win a Butch.... one less to face. I mentioned it in another thread, but I have spun a lot of the gold chests (by reinvesting the winnings from them into more spins). Opened one Doc, about 4 Jesses, but no Butch. He is not an easy guy to get. Not sure any of them get levelled up though. Not right now at least.

Gonna need treb Butch control soon...heh. I think there's going to be an awful lot of the Gunslinger mechs being used for a while, post-event. Most will disappear when folks level em up and find they're not that great.

I'm older and enjoy playing it cause I can hopin and hop out. Much needed with kids. Yes, 10 minute intervals here and there is almost all I can spare (dam you kids your cutting into my game time) --- however this event timed with a lull in contract work so I have been playing my butt off (lucky me) while the kids are at school or in bed.
